[ Brief explanation and C/Tw for you before you continue to read, dear reader;

This chapter is heavy in dialogue, and amongst that dialogue is explanations and descriptions of past ab-se, trauma from it, haphephobia invasion ((if that makes sense / is a thing?)) and such. There is much more cursing in this chapter then I usually allow Error the privilege of speaking, however I believe he has earned it. Please do not read if you are triggered by discussion of these events. Enjoy!

Welp. Error was back to square one.

SOMEHOW Ink had convinced the glitchy skeleton to talk to Nightmare one on one, and Error was not happy about that in the slightest.

He couldn't say no to anything at all that Ink asked him, it seems...

Currently, his gaze sat on pretty much anything that wasn't Nightmare himself, his arms folded to better grip the sides of his sweater, resisting the urge to tap his foot with impatience.

Nightmare, however, was mentally debating between dropping the act or to just continue to let Error hate him by tormenting him further.... Even if he hated that.

Soon enough, though, Error was the one who broke the silence.

" Why did you bring that letter to me? You had no reason to. Even if Sci asked you to do it, you could've just said no." Error said, glaring at the goopy being in front of him.

Nightmare sighed, " Someone important to me asked me to do it. Couldn't say no to him. " He said simply, earning a scowl from the glitch.

" Bullshit." He said.

" I'm not lying, Error. For once in my life in a conversation with you, I am not lying or bending the truth. I promised not to mention their name or describe them, but please... I know you hate me, and I don't expect any less after what I did, but we're all trying to improve after the truce. You can ask literally anyone else who's been in the castle..." Nightmare said.

" Look, again, I know you hate me, and I deserve that, but they don't... the others never did anything t-"

" It's not the others I'm mad at, Nightmare, I'm well aware of how hard they're working to improve. You act like I never knew them. " Error said, " It's you I don't trust. You're full of shit if you think I'm gonna let what you did go." The glitch explained stubbornly.

" Error-"

" No, don't 'Error' me. You betrayed me for your own selfish reasons. The destruction of UnderSwap is just as good your fault as it is mine." He said, " And you fucking know why." Error finished, turning and leaving the room, glitching a bit heavily and uncomfortably as he stepped by Ink, who seemed worried along with Blue- who had also been outside.

Error waved them off and just went to the Anti-Void, mumbling something about needing a moment, though the glitching kind of made it come out as just lagged words, which didn't translate into anything for them. He opened a portal to his home, snapping the portal shut behind him and trying to get the worried look on Ink's face out of his mind.
