Before we start, here is a song you can listen to while reading this. Song was sent to me by https://www.quotev.com/L200965

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I watch as the snowflakes gently fall outside the flight range. I'm currently waiting for Revali. He was supposed to be here almost 15 minutes ago. He recently got back from yet another week-long Champion training session at Hyrule castle and he promised me a romantic dinner. Maybe he forgot or maybe he ran into trouble on the way here? After all, I had to avoid 2 bokoblins and a Moblin just to get here. 15 minutes slowly turn into 30 minutes and I start to get cold. Maybe I should just go home. It is pretty late right now.
I was just about to leave when I hear a Rito land on the flight range's platform. I look over to see Revali dressed in a tuxedo with his feathers groomed back. "Woah," I say. "Sorry I was late. I wanted to dress up for you. What do you think? I" He asks. "It's different but in a good way. I'm just glad you're here." I respond. Revali walks into the flight range and starts a fire. "Dinner shouldn't be too long." He says and starts pulling ingredients out of a small chest. I nod and walk out onto the flight range's platform.
The ground sparkles in the moonlight and I let out a happy sigh. I can hear Revali cooking dinner over the warm fire. He has gotten surprisingly good at cooking over the months. It's probably because Sasha and I have been teaching him. Speaking of Sasha, she actually managed to win 2nd place in the yearly archery competition with Revali being in first like always. Revali has been teaching me how to use a bow and I have actually become not terrible at it. I still can't hit a moving target that well but I can now hit a bullseye every time on a non-moving target if I concentrate enough.
Revali and I have been officially dating for over a year now and we couldn't be happier. Revali has been leaving the village more often than not now to carry out his duties but we always make the most of our time together. I still go to therapy but now it's only once a month and I hardly ever hear the voices inside my head anymore.
"Food is ready," Revali says, breaking me out of my thoughts. I look over at him and smile. He scoops some of the food into a bowl for me and we both start to eat. "Wow, this tastes really good," I say to him. "Only the best for you, my dear Midnight." He says. I blush and look away. "I actually have a surprise for you," Revali says when we both finish dinner. "Oh?" I say. Revali pulls something out of a chest and holds it up to me. "A fruitcake? You shouldn't have." I say.
Revali cuts a slice and we both share it. "Did you make this all by yourself?" I ask him. "Yeah. It took me a few tries but I knew it would be worth it for you." I smile. "I love you," I tell him. "I love you too." He responds. "Here do you want another slice?" He asks. "No thanks. I'm too full." I say. It starts to get a little warm in the flight range so I try to take off my scarf but I have difficulty taking it off since it seems to have a knot in it.
The knot seems particularly stubborn and I start to get a little annoyed. Suddenly, I hear a thump from behind me and I pause to turn around. Revali tripped over the table and is fumbling with something in his pocket as he sits on the floor. "Are you okay?" I ask. "Me? Oh, I'm fine! Completely fine. Nothing wrong. Why do you ask?" Revali says but he doesn't look up at me. He gets up again and hits his head on the shelf. "Ow." He mutters. "Are you sure you're okay? You seem a bit...Nervous?" I say. "What? Me? I'm never nervous." He murmurs. "Nevermind. Just be careful. I don't want you to get hurt." I say and go back to untying the knot in my scarf.
I hear Revali continue to shuffle around behind me but I don't turn around. "Midnight?" Revali asks. "Yeah?" I reply but he doesn't respond. I finally get the knot out. I turn around to look at Revali and drop my scarf in surprise. Is this real or just a dream? There's no way this can be real. I think.
In front of me is Revali, who is kneeling on the ground with a small box in his wings. "Midnight, I never thought I would find love but then I met you. As soon as I laid my eyes on you, I knew you were the one. I would go to the end of Hyrule for you if you would let me. Midnight, Will you marry me?" He asks. I cover my beak with my wings. I'm so shocked that I don't respond for a few seconds but then burst out with "Yes! Yes! I will marry you!"
Revali gets up and we kiss each other for a long time. For the first time, I cry tears of joy. We are both so happy that we don't get much sleep that night and we start to plan our wedding.
~8 months later~
I take a deep breath as I stare at myself in the mirror. Today may seem like any other day for the rest of Hyrule but for me, it's very special. Today is the day I get married. As I admire my long white dress, my eyes land on my twisted wing but it doesn't upset me today. I am perfect just the way I am. I tell myself and for the first time, I truly believe it. "Midnight, It's time." Sasha walks into the nest and tells me. I take a deep breath and we both head towards the wedding.
Revali and I decided to have it near the flight range. Revali had wanted to invite the entire village but I wanted a small wedding and in the end, we both agreed to only invite half of the village. As I walk down the aisle and face Revali, who is dressed in a tuxedo, I listen to a few kids of Rito Village sing a beautiful love song.
Everything starts out fabulous and the priest starts off by telling the story of how Revali and I meet and how we feel in love. Next, Revali and I exchange our wedding vows. Finally, the priest asks for any objections. I quickly scan the crowd and was greeted by familiar and joyful faces. My eyes land on Sasha and Charles who are tearing up a bit. I then look at Revali and notice that he seems kind of distracted by something in the sky. I look at him with a questioning look but before I look up to see what he is looking at, the priest starts speaking.
"I see there are no objections. Well in that case, in the powers of Hylia, I now pronounce these two husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." I lean in to kiss Revali and he does the same. However, right when our beaks touch, there was a blinding flash of light, and only two heartbeats later, a loud noise startles everyone and I feel rain start to hit my back. Revali and I back away and I look to see what caused the noise. My eyes land on a huge blackened tree that fell right in the center of the metal buffet table. Pieces of what remained of the cake and other desserts were flung all over the Rito in the audience and there was even some on us!
"I take that the lightning was a form of Hylia's approval," Revali says right as another bolt of lightning strikes somewhere off in the distance. We just smile and we kiss again as the rain continues to pour and the other Rito stand up and start clapping.
So maybe the wedding didn't go exactly as planned, but that's what made it perfect.
