- lucinda's pov -

i don't know what happened, one minute zane was with us, next minute he was gone. the weird thing is, after zane left this..this void we're in, the zane in the real world seemed to not be affected by the potion anymore.

i didnt even know that was possible to fight off a forever potion without any magic, it's not even possible to fight off a potion with magic anyway, believe me, i tried.

i talked to aphmau about zane, since she knows him better than i, but she couldnt tell me much about his knowledge about magic, the person i should really be asking about this is garroth, but he isnt here.

if we ever escape this island, maybe i can try to learn more about this and talk to zane directly about it.

wait a minute, maybe there is something aph can tell me...

"hey, aph..."

"hmm?"

"remember back at the lodge, when you and zane were under the potion after aaron..."

i dont finish my sentence, nut aph knows what i'm talking about anyway.

"did you notice anything...odd about zane?"

"odd? not that i can think of..."

i continue to try and reach far back into my brain, to find anything that can help solve this.

"actually..."

i look up

"when we were all at that cabin he took us to, the one with the strange photos of me, i did notice that he and zane were...i dont know how to put it, but it almost looked like that they both didnt hate eachother...when they both were talking one on one, i didnt see any hate in either of their eyes...in fact, it looked like for a moment zane looked at him with the same look he gives kawaii chan."

"you mean...love?"

"i guess..i'm not sure though, it might have been my imagination, but even if what i saw was real, it might have just been the potion, zane might have just been looking at him in a brotherly way.."

"yeah..that must be it."

"sorry for not really being of any help, forget what i said actually, it probably doesnt mean anything."

"alright, if you say so..."

zane in love with ein? pssh, as if. 

- zane's pov -

i don't remember falling asleep, but i'm suddenly being shaken awake by ein, i gasp and turn to look at him.

"you fell asleep, sorry for waking you, but michael's out again."

i look at michael's desk, which was empty, but the papers that he was quickly filling out were still there...

"hey ein, look at these..."

i snatch the papers from the desk and lay them down in front of us so we could both read them.
