The Return Of The Emerald Secret (Zane Ro'meave)

~ Chapter 17 ~

I abandon my crutches in my room and decide to crawl since hopping on my foot would create too much noise, though I'd have to make sure to keep my left hand balled into a fist as to not damage my finger further.
Once I reach the staircase I peak around the corner and see Travis, Katelyn, Aph, Lucinda, Ein and Terry all downstairs with the short man I saw earlier.
I couldn't hear what he was saying to them all, but at some point he turned to look up the stairs, but I think I dodged his gaze just in time.
There was a suitcase that I'm assuming Terry brought since I didn't see the man carry anything on his way here.
I saw the man reach into the case and take out a vial of potion, is that meant for me??
After closing the case shut the man turned my direction and quickly walked up the stairs, the girls both followed him, I panicked and quickly got on my feet, forgetting all about my foot and let out a yelp.
When they turned the corner he stuck out his hand and a green aura emitted from it and I was suddenly frozen, I couldn't move!
The man chuckled
"You really are foolish"
He yanked the cork out of the vial, which made a satisfying *pop*
Both girls were on either side of me and grasped my arms tightly.
He tipped the vial in my mouth and I couldn't do anything except let the cold potion go down my throat.
I felt my body be released from the bind he put me on and I tried to limp away from him, but the girl's grip was too strong.
"There's no use, really. The potion will start to take its affects on you in exactly...12 seconds."
I began to panic
"Wh-what will it do to me!?"
"This potion is stronger than any forever potion in history. There's no way your little friends will be able to release you from this one."
He smiled darkly
"3...2...1."
My whole world went black.

"Zane! Oh my Irene!"
I sat up and saw Aph and Lucinda kneeled down in front of me
"Guys!? But I was- and now you are-"
I looked around and stood up
"Where the hell is this!?"
"We...don't know."
They both stood up and looked defeated
"We've been here for a few days...there's no way out, I can't use my magic in here."
"Dammit."

"Zane I'm so sorry, I swear I didn't mean to do this to you!"
I looked at a bright screen at the front and saw myself being released from the grip the girls had on me.
"It's fine really, it is. It was going to happen eventually..."
Aph looked at me confused
"What do you mean?"
"Well...I've been having...dreams, about the potion possessed version of me saying that Ein will come for me, so I kinda suspected something would happen soon."
"Oh."
She slumped on the ground
"Why couldn't he just stay dead? How did he come back to life?"
"Maybe the same way Aaron did?"
"Yeah...maybe..."

Lucinda kneeled down next to us
"Well, who cares about that! Right now, there's nothing we can do except watch this...whole thing. Plus, it's been a while since the three of us have all hung out together."
Aph stood up, looking determined.
"That's right! We're gonna turn this whole shebab right around! We're gonna make this the best day of our lives!"

~ Sylvanna's POV ~
I'm getting worried...she hasn't called me today...it's almost midnight...maybe I should give her a call, Eric did say to call her when I feel worried.
"But only if it's an extreme worry, dumbass!"
"Shut up! For all we know, Aphmau and her friends could be dead!"
"Shut up you two! They are NOT dead!"
I sighed and dialed her number.
Ring...
Ring...
Ring...
Ring...
Ring...
"Hello!~ This is Aphmau, leave a message!!"
*beep*

I gasped and dropped my phone and Eric ran in a second after.
"Hey! What's the matter?"
I covered my face with my hands
"She didn't answer her phone! She always answers my calls, Eric!"
He hesitated then said
"Yeah well...maybe she's sleeping, or maybe she's still on the plane!"
"It's only a 5 hour flight, Eric! She left 9 hours ago! 9!"
"It's sure there's a perfectly good explanation for her not answering."
"She could've gotten kidnapped, now that I think about it, she definitely got kidnapped, I know when something's wrong with my daughter Eric!"
"...I don't want to make you more scared or anything...but you could be right..."
"See!?"
"But what can you really do about it? I mean, we're all the way over here while she's all the way over there."
"Ohh, I don't know!"
I sat back down at the table and buried my face in my arms.
"Do you want some time alone or...?"
"That would be nice, yes."
"Ok."
As soon as he left I began to silently sob.
"Mijah...where are you...?"
