It's been about a week since I agreed to move in with Amanda. In this week I have put my house up for sale, packed all my stuff, and ordered a moving truck to come with me to drive to her house. I place the last box by my front door, looking around my now empty house. I can't believe I'm actually doing this. Hell, I still can't believe she's really in love with me, after all this time, holy shit. I'm snapped out of my thoughts by a knock on my front door. I look over, seeing a man standing behind the screen door. Assuming it's the moving truck driver I walk to the door. "Hello."
"Good morning, is this Elizabeth's house?"
"That's me."
"Perfect. We're ready to load when you are."
"Awesome, we can start now. Let's start with that pile of boxes over there." The team of two start taking everything to the truck, while I pack some of the smaller things in the trunk of my car. I still cannot believe I am really doing this. Thoughts race through my head as butterflies fill my stomach by just the smallest thought of Amanda. I snap out of my thoughts, looking over at the two men finishing loading all my crap into the large truck. I walk over to them as they get into the truck. "We follow you."
"Great, let's get going." I walk back to my car, closing the trunk, getting into the car and pulling away from the curb. I begin to make my way out of the neighborhood, the movers not far behind.
As I turn onto the highway I begin to slide into my thoughts, drowning out the radio. My thoughts about Amanda, waking up by her everyday, falling asleep next to her every night, seeing her smile, feeling her warm hugs, kissing her soft lips, all of it is perfect. I want to be with her forever.
I take the exit off of the highway, looking in my rear-view mirror to check if the truck is still back there. Seeing the truck I turn my eyes back to the road ahead, suddenly getting a phone call. I assume it's Amanda, she's probably looking to see how long until I get there. I pick up the phone, not looking at the number. "Hey Amanda."
"Hello Liz." My eyes go wide, how did he get my number?
"C-Chase, how did you find my number?"
"Oh Liz, I've always had your number."
"But I changed it after High School. How did you get it?"
"I have my ways. So, when can we get back together."
"Chase, I'm gay, I like girls. The most we can do is be friends/ How does that sound?" I hear grumbling on the other side of the phone.
"You made a promise to me Liz. You promised me you would love me forever, you promised marriage, and a family. You will be mine." And with that, he hung up. I throw my phone to the floor of the passenger's seat. Reminder, block his number...again. I make my way to the stop light, turning on my turn signal, indicating I'm turning right. I smile, I'm almost there. Not even 5 minutes later I made it to her house, he waiting at the front door. I pull over to the curb, jumping out of my car. I sprint towards her, jumping into her arms.
"Amanda!" I kiss her lips, she laughs and spins me around. Putting me down she doesn't let go of my hips. "Amanda?"
"You're very beautiful, you know that?" I engulf her into a hug, her resting her head on the top of mine. This was a good idea.
