Chapter 15

That night, Keita didn't sleep well. He was bothered by what Levathian revealed.

The way Auricio sacrificed his future for Lem. The reason why they where born was so that one of them can free Lem from the Crystal.

And they did it. It was Levathian who freed her. A blood of Iwaizumi succeeded to finally free her from her own curse.

"Seems like you had a pretty rough night young Master.." Yu said as he opened the window's curtains, letting sunlight hit the Crown Prince face for a couple of seconds.

Keita went off the bed. After the maids were done grooming the Prince, they immediately left. That's right, Keita lives a luxurious life.

He doesn't need to spend energy just to bath himself because the maids will do it for him. He was also clothed by the maids and it was normal for royalties for someone to do their routines.

Keita was busy studying history. To be specific, the Era where Lem came from. Yu was with him all the time. As the Prince Butler, He should never leave Keita's side no matter what happens. He devoted his life serving the Crown Prince.

Then a lady suddenly appeared. Things happened really fast as the next thing Keita knew, Yu was behind Lem. Holding a knife against Lem's throat. Lem was shocked by how fast Yu moved.

"Calm down, It's lem.." Keita said and sighed. He can never blame Yu for being overprotective. After all he will be the next ruler of this domain. And it was Yu's instinct to protect him from any unwanted guest.

"Pardon my behavior Miss Lem.." Yu bowed himself and Put the small knife back to his suit.

"Is there anything you need?" Yu added while pouring the finest tea Avaiana has.

Lem doesn't need to speak what she needs as her empty stomach begins to growl. Keita just laughed and raised his eyebrow towards Yu.

"Your highness sorry for the sudden interuption but I would like to ask for your help to find ----" Ciel stopped as soon as he saw Lem was sitting comfortably. Ciel just sighed, he was tired from babysitting Lem all day long.

"This woman's insane can't you just put her in sleep?" Ciel sarcastically said but Lem misinterpreted him.

The word sleep, put Lem through a lot of sufferings. Her instinct was telling her something will happen. So as her defense mechanism, she swayed her hand. And the next thing they knew, a dozen of sharp ice crystals where pointing to Ciel.

Ciel should be dead but thanks to Yu's fast reflexes he was able to generate a shield that would protect Ciel from Lem's sudden attack.

"Lem.." Keita said, this time Keita was serious. "Ciel was just kidding.." Lem  realized her sudden action was stupid so she slowly put her hand back to where it was earlier.

"Seeee! She's danger-----"

"And Ciel, watch your words.." Keita cutted him off. But deep inside Keita was more worried about Lem's maximum capacity. If it was just an accidental cast, what more if Lem's in a serious battle. This will surely create chaos around the world.

"Still I demand an apology.." Ciel said crossing his arms.

"I apologise for my sudden behavior.." Lem said through telepathy.

Ciel's eyes was twinkling from happiness. Ciel was just playing around with Lem and didn't actually think she'd apologize for her actions. Ciel only thinks Lem is childish but he was wrong.

And so the maids arrive, bringing snacks for Ciel and Lem. They where busy munching on their snacks while Keita was focused on his reading.

Long ago, there where immortals who lived together with humdrums. They where made by the creator to protect the mortals from the fallen angels and dark creatures.

However an immortal fell inlove with a human. And the couple had a child who was half immortal. Thus the creator punished immortals and appointed a bishop that will sentence them to eternal sleep whenever they commit a sin.

'However in Lem's case, a bishop's greed overthrow his rule and made himself a living god.' Keita said to himself.

The only thing that bothers Keita was how Lem survived eternal sleep.

"You should rest young master.." Yu said, collecting all the books Keita finished reading.

"Alright, tomorrow will surely be a tiring day.." Keita said, laying comfortably on his soft mattress.

"Your efforts will pay off young master. Suffer now and enjoy later.." Yu said.

"What shall I do?" Keita said. He was exhausted as a lot of things where running on his mind. "I'm the next ruler of this domain. However I still have limited knowledge.."

"It is fine your highness. You are still young. All you need to do is believe in yourself no matter no one else would.." Yu was done putting the books back into the shelves.

"I'm kind of scared about the future. The day where I will be the king. It's scary. So scary.." Keita said remembering what happened to his father.

"Shall I get a fortune teller?" Yu was serious about finding a fortune teller just to find out what future the Crown Prince has.

Keita just chuckled. Everything was lighter thanks to Yu who was always with him.
