Chapter 16

*Quinton's p.o.v*

I'm playing the Xbox with my little brother and Zach is either watching, snapchatting, or texting. He's good company to have around sometimes.

Q- Laeklin you can't do that!!

L- You didn't say I couldn't bro.

Laeklin says with a smirk on his face. He can be annoying at time, but hey he's my little brother he's suppose to be.

Q- Well lets take a break from COD you keep beating me.

L- Alright what else do you want to do?

Q- Well I made plans with Zach so I'm gonna tell mom and we're gonna head out.

L- Alright see you later then.

I got up from the floor and walked into my room and got dressed. Zach waited and we both went into my moms room.

Q- Hey mom I made plans with Zach so we're gonna head out okay?

Quinton's Mom- Okay sweetie be careful.

Q- Yeah mom. See you later.

We left the house and off we went.

*Skips car ride into town*

Z- Alright bro we're in town what do you want to do?

Q- Well let's get food because well food then we can go to the mall or something. Maybe get some... Pocky.

Z- sounds good. Where do you want to eat?

Q- Steak N' Shake

We get to steak n shake and order our food. It's been awhile since it was just that hung out. Zach and I are really close that's why I see him as my brother. Ever since I first moved here he's always had my back.

*FLASHBACK*

Q- Mom Why do we have to move! Like where we live! I don't want to leave my friends!!!!

Quinton's mom- I'm sorry but I got a job offer over there and that's where we're going.

Q- Whatever.

The drive what seemed like forever finally ended and we get to a little town. There isn't much here but I guess its okay.

Its my first day at school and I was nervous I didn't know anybody when some guy came up to me.

Stranger- Hey you must be new here. I'm Zachary but call me Zach. I'd prefer it actually.

Q- Hey and I'm Quinton. I'd prefer to be called Quinton or Q which ever one.

We both laughed and he showed me around.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

He never left after we met and I never left either. From the very beginning of my new school and life he was the first one to enter.

*Zach's p.o.v*

I'm on my phone telling Ashlyn I'm hanging out with Quinton and that I had to go. I put my phone up and enjoyed having some time with him. We hadn't hung out with just us in awhile so I didn't mind what we did or where we went.

We're eating our food and he brings up Aurora.

Q- Soo the whole Aurora thing...

Z- Yeah what about it bro?.

Q- I've been thinking about what you said.. And I plan on asking her out soon.

Z- Dude! Finally!

Q- haha yeah. I just hope she doesn't turn me down.

Z- You shouldn't be thinking about the negatives about asking her out.

Q- you're right but I can't help it. How did you ask Ashlyn out?

Z- it was after I dropped you and Aurora at her house and we sat in my car watching videos and then I finally got the courage and just asked yes or no.

Q- why Yes or No? Why not 'will you go out with me?'

Z- well I tried but I couldn't get those words out so I just asked yes or no.

Q- she said yes.

Z- yup.

Q- do you think I should just do that to Aurora?

Z- honestly bro I can't tell you how to ask her out that's something only you can do but I will help you plan it out.

Q- yes! Thanks bro!!

We finished eating and went to the mall talking about random things. That's our brotherly relationship for ya. I didn't mind it though. I was glad to be able to call my best friend.

*Quinton's p.o.v*

I liked the thought that I was able to talk to Zach about any thing. We got to the mall and I was none stop talking about random things. I knew he didn't mind because he went along with whatever I said.

That's what's cool about him. He doesn't let me make a fool of myself or doesn't let me do stupid things alone.

It was getting late so we headed out back to my house. It was a Saturday and we could have stayed out longer but laeklin kept bugging me on when I was coming back home. I guess because he wanted us to play COD again. I told him I was on my way.

*skips car ride*

We get into the drive way and Zach and I are singing our butts off. We did that the whole way home. It was funny because neither of us can sing and we didn't care we kept singing.

We finished up our little concert thing and went inside. Laeklin was sitting waiting. Like sitting in front of the door waiting. It was funny.

Q- Have you been sitting there all day laeklin?

L- No!! Just when I heard you guys pull up and singing like dying whales!

Zach and I looked at each other and laughed.

Q- haha alright alright let us get out of these clothes and change into something comfortable.

L- hurry up. I want to beat you again.

Q- YEAH BY CHEATING!

I yelled walking into my room with Zach.

We both changed into sweatpants and both walked out shirtless. We didn't care we were at the house.

Zach got him and I drinks and we all played COD. The day turned out pretty good and finished it off playing COD with my best friend and my brother laeklin.
