My Best Friend.

Chapter 18

*Ashlyn's p.o.v*

I'm in my room listening to music blocking everything out in the world. Its just me and my music. I close my eyes for a bit to just think.

I must have fallen asleep and wake up and look at my phone. I have 3 missed calls from Zach and unread messages from him. I call him back.

*Phone call*

Z- Babe! Are You okay?! You weren't answering and I was getting worried!

A- I'm sorry love I was listening to my music and closed my eyes for a bit and I fell asleep.

Z- Well you're okay and that's all I was worried about.

A- Awe how sweet. Anyway what's up?

Z- Well I was wondering if you would like to go out?

A- I'd love too.

Z- Great! I'll pick you up at 7. See you then beautiful. I love you.

A- I love you too.

*end of phone call*

I put my phone up and go down stairs to see what everyone was up to. It was it 3 so I had awhile before I had to get ready for Zach and I's date.

I walk into the living room and see that my parents are watching tv and my brother was playing on his laptop.

A- hey mom?

Ashlyn's mom- yes sweetie?

A- I have a date with Zach at 7.

Ashlyn's mom- okay just be back by midnight.

A- Yes mom.

I finished talking my mom and walked into the kitchen because you know it's a kitchen and it has food. I'm a sucker for food. I get made fun of a lot because I can stuff my face and won't gain nothing.

I open the refrigerator and grabbed some left over pizza. I heated it up and went back to my room.

After finishing my pizza I watched a bit of tv. My phone went off and it's a notification. I didn't bother looking at it I just let it go and kept watching tv.

Before I knew it I was taking a shower to get ready for my date. I decided to wear a nice long blue shirt with black leggings and my black ugs. I curled my long brown and red hair. (*brown on top. Red underneath*) I did my normal make up eyeliner, foundation, and eye shadow.

I sat on my bed going through instagram waiting for Zach. I did that for a couple minutes when I heard the doorbell go off. I tried to beat one if my parents to it but I was too late. My mom already had the door open and greeting him.

Ashlyn's mom- Hi. How are you Zach?

Z- I'm great Mrs. Brooks. How are you?

Ashlyn's mom- please call me Heather.

He nodded his head and smiled at my mom.

A- hey Zach. Ready to go?

I said breaking the silence.

Z- yes. It was good talking to you Heather.

He said with a smile.

Heather- you too Zach be sure to have her back before midnight.

Z- Yes ma'am.

Heather- okay you two have fun. But not too much fun.

A- Mom!..

I said blushing. She just laughed and Zach and I went off to wherever we were going. He wouldn't tell me.

*Zach's p.o.v*

I'm taking Ashlyn out to this amazing restaurant. She keeps asking where we're going but I won't tell her so she does this little mad face. Its so cute. She's so cute.

We arrive at the restaurant a couple minutes afterwards and I get out of the car go to her side and open her door for her. She gets out and I just smile at her. She's so beautiful. She's absolutely just perfect in my eyes. I eventually get out of my gaze and offer her my arm. She smiles and takes my arm and we walk in.

The waiter takes us to our table and we take our seats.

*Skips date*

We finish our dinner and paid for the meal. We walk out of the restaurant hand in hand. We couldn't stop talking and laughing. It was nice, to finally be alone with her no one else. Just us. I enjoyed very much.

We get to the car and I check the time because I have to have her back home by midnight. I see that it's only 10 and I thought I'd take her to this park that I grew up playing in. It wasn't far from the restaurant so why not.

A- thanks so much for the dinner love it was perfect.

Z- you're welcome beautiful.

A- I just have one question.

Z- What is it babe?

A- Where are we going this time?.

I look at her and smile.

Z- you'll see babe. Trust me you'll enjoy it.

She shook her head and we drove to the park.

*Ashlyn's p.o.v*

I asked Zach where we were going this time and once again he just smiles at me and says "you'll see babe." So I did. I waited until we arrived at what seems to look like a park. He looks over at me and smiles.

Z- I grew up in this park as a kid and it's beautiful when it's dark outside. I thought I'd show you because it's romantic I think.

A- It is love. Its very beautiful.

The park was very beautiful. The way the bright moon hit the ponds and trees and the park had light around every bridge and walk ways. It was absolutely stunning. I couldn't stop looking around.

He suddenly grabbed my hand which pulled me out of my trance and walked me to what he calls the lover bridge. I wondered why he called it that I assume because people have a moment there.

He walks me up to the bridge and we look out into the water.

Z- what do you think?

A- it's absolutely beautiful.

Z- yeah it is.

He said turning towards me with his beautiful blue eyes that were sparkling in the moon light. We just look at each others eyes and enjoy our time together.

I couldn't help but blush and smile as I tilted my head down. His cupped my face with his hands and tilted it back up where I'm just looking at him. He starts to lean in. Looking my lips and back at me for permission. I close my eyes and eventually what seemed forever his soft lips were on mine.

Our lips pushed together moving slowly but in perfect sync. It was perfect.
