My Best Friend.

Chapter 22

*Ashlyn's P.o.v*

It's been almost a week since my best friend Aurora and I graduated. We bought a beach house and are pretty happy here. Zach and Quinton are off doing something. We wouldn't know though. They graduated before us. Quinton and Aurora are no longer together. Quinton actually has a new girl he's talking too and Aurora is talking to guy. She says they're still friends but I wouldn't know.

Zach and I broke up as well.. I don't like to talk about it much to anyone really. I was heart broken. I still am. I always think about him here and there wondering if he's doing okay. I mean we still sorta talk. That's good. I haven't quite seen him lately.

I'm outside near the shore when Aurora joins me.

Aurora- Hey Hey

Ashlyn- Hey

Aurora- Are you alright? Still thinking about Zach?

Ashlyn- Yeah I'm fine. And sorta why?

Aurora- Because Ashlyn I can tell in your eyes that you still love him after he hurt you.

Ashlyn- I'm fine.

Aurora- Alright. Well hey I have a date with my bae so I either won't be coming home till late or probably not. I'll just text you and let you know what's happening.

Ashlyn- Alright sounds good.

Aurora- Okay see you later.

Ashlyn- Bye.

As I watch Aurora run off to go to her date I had a thought about Zach. I honestly don't know if I can get over him. I've tried to move on, but I couldn't. I couldn't do it.

It was getting dark and I got up out of the sand and went inside. I grabbed my phone to see if Aurora texted me and she didnt but I had gotten a text I didn't expect to see.

It was Zach.

(text messages)

Zach!! - Hey Ashlyn.

Ashlyn - Hey.

Zach!! - What's up?

Ashlyn - Nothing much about to go get some food you?

Zach!! - Oh. Well hey perfect timing. I'm in town and wanted to know if you wanted to hang out.

Ashlyn - Sure.

Zach!! - Okay. Well meet me at that Chinese restaurant here.

Ashlyn - Zach you know I don't like Chinese.

Zach!! - I know. (: See you soon!

After that I went upstairs took a shower and got ready. I got ready pretty quick I just left my hair natural curly and just put on eyeliner. I wore a nice blue shirt and skinny jeans with my white sneakers. I went downstairs grabbed my phone and keys and headed my way to the Chinese place.

As I got to the restaurant I grabbed my phone and texted Aurora to let her know if she ever went home and I wasn't there I was getting food with Zach.

I got out of my car and saw Zach waiting outside for me. I walked over to where he was and he turned his head and noticed me.

Zach- Ashlyn.

Ashlyn- Hey.

Zach- It's nice to see you.

Ashlyn- You too.
