Note- I will be updating three chapters this week. Here's the first update for the week. Next Chapter we will be seeing Rajveer's family.  I am reposting this chapter as it had a lot of mistakes. Now on with the story.

Rajveer in a shocked state stuttered: Anya....... Anya Bhabhi...

Anya: I will deal with you later chote. Now Lalaji you didn't answer me why exactly didn't you the defense minister try to help your godson in proving his innocence? Why didn't you inform the rest of the family about this?

Lala was trying to understand how this chit of girl had come here and how did she know about Raj's case? He had meant to inform the rest of his so-called family after Raj was convicted and killed for a good measure? But this girl was always a trouble maker? She never trusted him like the rest of the family not his words, his intentions or actions. Well this was to be expected, neither did Anya's dead mother trust him. Why the hell was she so concerned about Raj anyway? Raj was just her husband's step brother. Raj was the eldest legitimate son of the Jaisalmer Royal Family. Her husband on the other hand was an illegitimate son, a half blood mongrel in royal terms just like Lala had been. But the great Princess Anya of the Amravati Royal Family just like her foolish husband and mother in law loved and considered Rajveer as part of their family Lala thought with scorn. Anya loved Raj as her dewar and was really protective of him like a mother. Raj loved Anya as not just his sis-in law but also as a mother figure. These fools were too emotional and were constantly testing lala's nerves for a long time. But he needed to keep up his pretenses of being a good god father. He had to keep his enemies closer than his allies.

Raj: Anya Bhabhi don't blame Lalaji for anything. I didn't want him to influence the trial to prove my innocence. I didn't want him to inform the family until the verdict, I didn't want to worry you as civilians can't do anything in a court martial. Lalaji is not to blame for this at all.

Anya: Enough Chotte. Lalaji the great defence minister can surely defend himself. Let me guess Lalaji you didn't help Raj because it would affect your political career right? Atleast you could have informed us Raj was in trouble even if Raj asked you not to say a thing as you should be concerned about Raj's welfare more than his request of not telling the family? Did you atleast get him a defence lawyer or was that also not done?

Lala lied through his teeth: I care about Raj more than my career. He didn't want me to use my power for him. He wanted to argue the case himself. But later changed his decision I guess. The defence lawyer did come and Raj has been proved innocent too. I am happy about Raj being proved innocent Anya, but you never did nor will you ever trust me even if I am family, so what can I do about your distrust and accusations? You are like my daughter in law to me no matter what you say, so I will forgive you.

Raj: Lalaji, I apologize for Bhabhi she is just upset and she is not even upset at you. She is upset and angry at me about not informing the family. I know you will always support me. I decided to hire a lawyer at the last minute didn't have the time to tell you about it so I am really sorry for not informing you.

Anya: Anyway chote, even if you and lalaji didn't inform us the legal procedure demands that the family be informed about the arrest of an accused. But unfortunately, some unknown delay happened and we quite inconveniently got to know about your arrest at the time of your trial.

Of course, Lala knew this he was the one who ensured that the procedure to inform the family was delayed. He didn't want any family support for Raj at the trial and he had manipulated Raj into the idea of defending himself. But things didn't go according plan.

Raj: Bhabhi yaar please let's talk about this later. Let's just go thank Tripathi for saving me. I will pacify and plead with you later while you twist my ears. You can punish me anyway you like.
