Chapter-12 A Raina Conversation to Remember

Apologies for the one month delay. I again got caught up in something . I wrote and rewrote this chapter after suffering from a bad writer block. This chapter is dedicated to two writers on wattpad forum who inspired me to get back to writing. A shout out to @Prem_Khushi and  @SwatiSandeep for their wonderful stories. They are about brotherhood please read them dear readers. Those stories really helped me get back on my feet after a difficult last year so thank you guys. So this is a dedication to you two writers from a novice fan .

Now on with the story finally.

 The next morning Raj went out for jogging early in the morning. His mind was filled with relief over the fact that everyone in the family had accepted Naina. Now all he had to do was a single big step CONFESS. His Dadi Ammi, Badi Ammi, Dada were all very excited to bring Naina into the family-too excited in fact. If he didn't confess soon he would be in hot water. He had to confess his feeling before Dadi Ammi discusses the matter with Naina's parents. There's nothing wrong with an arranged marriage but he wanted Naina to know of his feelings, his love for her, he wanted to invite her into his life himself. His lady love deserved that. While he day dreaming about Naina more than exercising. He found Naina was coming in his direction. She and Pooja were jogging in the morning. He was stunned for a second but pulled himself together. Naina had not seen him yet. she was jogging with pooja smiling with eyes alight with mischief and Pooja seems to be teasing her. Raj cherished the moment in his memory. Naina was usually serious even with friends at KMA. But now it seems like a huge weight had lifted off her shoulders. Raj thought "May be I should talk to Naina now" Then he felt like hitting himself. Seriously Naveen was right he really was hopeless with girls. Among his friends- Naveen and Abhi were good at talking to girls, had girlfriends while he was too shy and hesitant to open up to them. If any girl slightly hinted at having an interest in him he would usually run away with some excuse. Naveen used to tease him that he had a "ekpatni vrat" and would only fall for one girl and would devote his life only to her. He used to say that he would settle Raj's love life by finding him the perfect girl. Now Naveen's Gudiya turned out to be the perfect girl for him. How he wished Naveen was alive to see this. He would ask Naveen permission and help to propose Naina and to impress his in-laws and Naveen would prank him and finally help him out. But it was not to be. While he was lost in his thoughts about Naina and Naveen he heard Pooja call out to him:"Rajveer Sir Good Morning" Raj " Hello cadets I mean Officers" Naina: Sir we will always be your cadets. Raj : "of Naina" but in his mind: But hope that you will not remain so for so long I want to make u my wife. Then Raj mentally facepalmed- what the heck I hope I don't make such a lame proposal. I have to quickly change the topic before blurt it out in front of not just naina but also pooja.

Raj: "So Pooja Naina how do find my home?" Pooja: "Sir its so romantic like the set of Veer-Zara I just feel like I am in a romantic movie". Naina rolled her eyes at Pooja's words and nudged Pooja with her elbow to make her shut up. But Pooja smirked at her and continued: "You know sir what would make a perfect romantic movie? If my Veer and Zara would just confess to each other."

Raj blushed completely red while Naina shyly looked down. Raj: "Officer Ghai please remember I am your teacher and senior officer". Pooja smiled like a cat who caught the canary: "Yes sir, but I was talking about movie characters not You and Naina." Raj blushed even more deeply, if possible, even Naina started to blush.

Pooja with twinkling eyes: "Sir my exercise is done I am going back to my room. Naina wants to continue why don't you accompany her?" After Pooja left, Raj and Naina didn't know where to look if they looked at each other they would be blushing like red tomatoes. Naina shyly started talking: "You have really beautiful home and even more beautiful family." Raj was touched with her sincere words. Usually people just tried to butter up his family for power or hated them with a passion for holding so much of it. Raj smiled at her and teased: "Thank you Naina but Naina why did you have to make my life so miserable" Naina looked at his puzzled. Raj explained: "So you are the reason that idiot is torturing us so long with his music." He waited and Naina's reaction and it didn't disappoint . She gave him an angry glare. Naina : "Sir Why can't you just support his passion he is an awesome singer he can play any instrument he touches you should be proud and encourage his career and talents. Sir I really didn't expect this from you. You always supported all of us as your students when sometimes our own parents didn't understand it but why can't apply the same rule to our J then?"

Raj was happy at her defense of his brother. Raj smiled: "Ok ok Naina don't be upset I was just surprised at you knowing him and took my revenge by teasing you. I have different opinions about careers and am a bit worried for his future. Its an unstable and very risky career which puts you constantly on the limelight constantly so I worry about him as a brother",

Naina still didn't relent: " Most people would say being a soldier is an even more risky and unstable career sir what do you have to say about that huh? If Anyaji didn't support you would have been able to convince your Brother let you join the army. So why the different rules for you and different rules for him huh? This is right career for our J he's happy. If there are any problems he has his family to support him."

Raj was extremely happy at Naina's unwavering support of J and her constantly calling his idiot "our J". He smiled: "Apparently he has his friend's support too". Naina narrowed her eyes at Raj with angry look and Raj was left wondering why Naina was angry at him. Naina : " He's not my friend he is my family , my J , my little bro." Raj pacified Naina: "Naina I am sorry if I offended you alright I was giving you a compliment" Naina: "First Mistake and You are mentor so ok I forgive you but don't ever tell me what he is to me or you will see what J's Gudiya Didi his beautiful can do." Raj actually gulped seeing her possessiveness for his brother. Raj in mind , you are gone beta Raj your future wife is ready to kill you for your idiot brother. This feels like your future for the rest of your life.

Raj : "Naina I am really sorry ok I didn't mean to hurt you with my assumptions alright." Naina grumpily huffed: "Sir I think you will really being going on a sorry tour soon for all your wrong assumptions." Raj looked puzzled at her. Naina continued: "You still haven't apologized to Anyaji Right? Before you ask J told me. I won't make assumptions and suggestions about your relationship with your Bhabhi I am sorry sir that I was the cause of your rift with her for an entire year." Raj gently told her: "No Naina neither I nor Bhabhi would ever blame you for anything. Its our fault alone her more than mine I distrusted her some one I always loved and cared about, some one I have known about all my childhood and She hid things from me some one who was always open n supportive to me She kept secrets we will deal with our problems I will pacify her don't worry or feel guilty alright?" Naina smiled : "Yes I heard about Bhabhi and her chotte from J you know he is really jealous sometimes about your relationship even though he claims to be her favourite devar." Raj smiled: "He can claim all he wants but I will always be her favourite devar. " Naina: "Really you are really being competitive about such a small thing. He is younger to you". Raj: "Let it go Cadet Singh I am competitive in this matter. I will always be Bhabhi's favourite devar." Raj continued in his mind: He will have settle to be your favourite Devar. This is isn't the right time to propose I will give a proposal you deserve alright Naina. Just you wait.

Naina smiled at Raj's childlike possessiveness about his Bhabhi, she found it cute. She has never seen his cute and possessive side before. Naina in her mind Sir is so cute and innocent. I wish you would just tell me your feelings I know it but just want to hear it from you. Naveen bhai please help your shy and dumb friend or else I will have to ask J and propose myself. She threatened him in her mind I will give you time till the end of my stay or else will propose to you and hold it over your head for the rest of your life.

Naina teased Raj gently : Now the favourite Dewar will have to pacify his Bhabhi. Good luck sir you need it from what I heard about Anyaji from J's stories. Raj: Cadet Singh I am really her favourite she will be upset she loves me a little to much not to forgive me. I suggest you go inside you must be tired from go inside. Naina laughed: Sir I suggest you start planning how to say sorry and escape Anyaji's Anger. She teased and ran away laughing. Raj stood there smiling at his lady love. In his mind Very soon you will be part of my life Naina and always will us will welcome you into our family with so much love. But first I need to pacify Bhabhi and get help since Naveen isn't here now. Wish Luck Saala Naveen you are my going to be my Saala.
