Chapter-6 THE WAIT PART II

Time Leap of 1 year.....

Naina's POV

Naina couldn't hold back her excitement. Today was graduation day and she will be able to Rajveer Sir again. He will be coming for the graduation ceremony she was sure of it. She will be able to see him after a whole year. She still remembered their last conversation. It had broken her heart to request him to leave KMA and let her investigate her brother's case independently. But her heart break didn't matter what mattered was that Rajveer Sir's career and reputation were safe. She needed to protect him just like he had protected when she was in trouble. Rajveer Sir had been accused of murder because of supporting her and his character was questioned because of loving her. Even after Tripathi saved him and cleared his name, their relationship however true and pure it is would have given ammunition to their enemies like Ritu and Salve as long as she didn't pass out of KMA. Once she has graduated, she would be his junior officer and him her senior officer. No one in the Army would be able to question their relationship as long as they did their duty.

So, she was so happy she couldn't wait for the day to be done. Today, she would see her Rajveer Sir and would fulfill her promise to her love that she would be the best cadet passout and she would fulfill her promise made to prove her love that she would prove her bhaiyya's innocence without harming her love. She had said that she'll prove her bhaiyya's innocence independently but who was she kidding her Sir might step back because of his promise but he would always have her back. He wasn't there with her in KMA but he was always there for her no matter the distance no matter the promises.

PAST:

Huda: Oye Phoolan why did you ask Sirji to leave KMA you shouldn't have done this? How  can you ask Sir to leave us behind?

Naina : Because it is time for all of us to think about him for a change and protect him. He has always been there for all of us and protected us even if we disappointed or even hurt him. I want to fulfill my aims of being a good soldier and also prove bhaiyya's innocence but I won't let Sir make any more sacrifices for me or my brother. If I am that selfish my brother will never forgive me and I won't be able to forgive myself too.

Alekh : Naina who are we protecting Sir from?? Naina: Alekh do you think the spies who tried to trap Sir will not try to do that again if Sir comes back to KMA. They will try to distract us with ugly rumours and accusations about Sir and me to keep us from finding out the truth just like Ritu used the letters written by Ali to get closer to Sir and then tried to kill him. I know Sir is a good officer and he won't back down even if he loses everything but I won't let him lose anything more in his life even if it means I have lose him and his love.

All the cadets looked at Naina in shock she confessed her love for her Rajveer Sir in front of them. Now they were feeling overwhelmed at such pure and selfless love. On one side, Rajveer Sir who was willing to lose everything to protect his love and get justice for her brother his friend and on the side Naina who was willing to lose him and even lose a chance at proving her brother's innocence to protect Rajveer Sir's life career and reputation. Theirs was a selfless relationship which was pure untainted and a wonder to behold. None of the Cadets fully understood it till today but today they decided come what may they will stand by them and their love no matter what the cost. They would make sure nothing would come in between their Rajveer Sir and Naina.

Naina and Cadets set out find out the truth and their enemies fought back they were charged with insubordination by Maj Bhargav and sent to a detention centre where they met Gunny who helped them through tough times and with his support, they found out that Major Bhargav was a traitor and collected proofs against him and passed on the proof to Captain Tripathi He had visited them as their defence counsel to get them discharged of the offence of in subordination. Cap Tripathi helped Naina and the rest by giving it to a journalist Zara Sheikh. Once it was all over the news that Maj Bhargav was a traitor who had been involved in arms smuggling and he trapped Naveen along with Ritu Mishra. Cap Tripathi proceeded to get the cadets free of the charge of insubordination and they were free to go back to KMA. The Cadets then spent their time studying for their exams, while Gunny joined them as their teacher on the recommendation of Cap Abhimanyu as the VP. The Cadets passed their exams with the highest marks as their Rajveer Sir had wished and tomorrow was their graduation. Their Rajveer's trust and belief in them crossed all hurdles and won in the end.

Present:

Naina came out of her thoughts when she heard Pooja calling her: 'Oho Naina, where are you lost thinking about Sharukh. You know you guys are just like Veer Zaara, Now I am going to call you both just that.

Naina: Sir is our senior you can't go calling him filmy names. Pooja: I can call him any filmy name as long as we are not working. He's my future jijaji and as his future sis in law it is my right.

Huda: He's going to be our future jijaji as well. Phoolan, we know that all of us didn't support you and Sirji at first because of Mogambo. Now we all promise you know matter what we will support both of you and we will never let anyone come in your way. Mummyji ki kasam.

Yudi: All of us are going to give a promise on it. No one will get in the way of your love story again. 

Naina blushed hearing their words and said stop it guys we will be late for the graduation ceremony and Pooja quipped and she will be late to see her Veer right. Shalini: Right, you are cadet. Lets not keep the captain waiting shall we? Naina tampered down her excitement and rolled her eyes and walked off while the rest of the cadets smirked at her.

They went to assembly hall where the graduation ceremony started and BC announced let me announce the three top places: Rank 3 Cadet Ali Baigh , Rank 2 : Cadet Alekh Sharma. There was look of pure shock on Alekh when he went to stand next to his friend to receive his medal and new rank. Now the best cadet passout of the year Rank 1: Cadet Naina Singh Ahluwalia. All the cadets and faculty cheered as Naina went to receive her medal and new rank. Naina eyes sought the one person who was her constant her Rajveer Sir, he was there sitting in the front row with his eyes shining with pride at success of his cadets especially his love Naina. BC now announced we will move to Wall of Fame to honour one of the best cadets in KMA history: Captain Naveen Singh Ahluwalia.

Everyone had look of happiness as Naveen's photo was hanged back in its rightful place. Rajveer looked at his love with eyes filled with tears and pride. She had fulfilled her challenge that she made one year ago. Now it was time to never let Naina go away from his life and now it was time to fight for his love and cherish her for eternity.
