A TALL LADY OPENED THE FRONT DOOR TO the home, Evangeline's eyes widened as she took in the woman. She was stunning, with gorgeous cat like eyes and a dark blue dress. She held a stop watch in her hand. "38 seconds late, ladies."

"Sorry Miss Peregrine," they answered in unison as the trio were welcomed into the home. There was a large dark brown staircase was the centerpiece of the opening, surrounded by a few doors around it. The home was old, to say the least. But it didn't feel old. It felt sturdy, but the style was not what she would consider modern. "We got caught up with Lina here."

"Lina," Miss Peregrine tested the name out on her tongue, it fit the girl. She was small, with dark brown hair and freckles speckled along the bridge of her nose. Her lips were small, but rosy. Her dark blue eyes were a large contrast to her pale white skin, Miss Peregrine knew the children would be excited to have her here. "Nice to meet you, I'm Miss Peregrine. I watch over everyone here."

"Nice to meet you too." She muttered back. She felt intimidated, Miss Peregrine's eyes seemed to stare deep into her soul, so she kept her head down and stared at her shoes.

"Emma, Olive, you wouldn't mind fetching some clothes for Lina would you? I'd like to give her a tour." Miss Peregrine smiled politely at the small girl and she smiled back awkwardly, something seemed off.

"Come, let's go meet the other children and soak up the sun. I'm sure you're freezing."

The sun felt glorious on Linas skin, a large contrast to how it was just mere hours ago. Lina thought it was strange how fast the weather changed, must have been some UK crap going on. The closer they got, Lina noticed some things about the children. One was covered in bees, two were twins wearing a strange white outfit, and a girl was growing plants... with her own hands? how was that- no her eyes must be deceiving her. But no, the more she looked the more it seemed that she had seen correctly.

"How is this possible?" Lina muttered unaware of the sudden change of focus onto her. All the children were staring at her, and once she saw it only intimidated her further.

"Welcome Lina, to Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children." Lina's chest heaved, peculiar children? Like...her? Did they know that she was a... freak?

"...peculiar? In what way?" Lina questioned stepping back as the children got closer, it was instinct. Not because she was scared of them, she was shocked they were like her.

Miss Peregrine smiled and softly patted the girls shoulder. "I'll let them show you."

The first ones that stepped forward were the twins in the white suits, they didn't say anything... but she had a feeling that they were different considering every move they were making was in unison. Secondly, a boy with bees flying around his head stepped forth, he opened his mouth and a swarm started buzzing toward Lina. She gasped and widened her eyes in amazement, how is he still alive with bees inside him? He introduced himself as Hugh.

A small girl stood right in front of Lina and shyly took Linas hand, "Bronwyn." She muttered. Lina smiled, "Hi Bronwyn, I'm Lina. It's great to meet y-" Bronwyn twisted her arm with so much strength that Lina flipped onto her back.

"You're strong." Lina groaned in pain before chuckling. A tiny girl kicking her butt in a simple handshake? Hilarious.

"Hello," a hand reached out to pull Lina up. Lina recognized this girl as the plant girl, she was super cute. Dark ashy blonde hair and a cute button nose, she only looked to be a few years younger than her. "I'm Fiona, and this is Claire." Fiona gestured to a small girl next to her with lovely curls and a cute pink dress. She was adorable.

Vines wrapped lightly around Linas ankles and then released them, just to make her aware of what she could do. Fiona smiled innocently.

"That's incredible, Fiona." Lina complimented and tucked a strand of her dark hair behind her ear. Fiona thanked her and walked away with Claire leaving Lina confused, what did Claire do?

"Claire will show you... at dinner time." Miss Peregrine commented as if she knew Linas thoughts. "Millard and Enoch must be inside. Let's go fetch them, your clothes should be ready as well."
