The plane had landed and we were now dropping off our stuff at the hotel. Hotch was talking to the receptionist while we all stood in the lobby. Hotch returned handing each of us our keys.

"They have limited rooms so a few of us while have conjoined rooms" Hotch said.

We all nodded.

"Prentiss JJ, I believe your rooms are connected and Spencer you and Y/n have a connected room also" Hotch said.

"You and pretty boy sharing a room huh" Derek whispered in my ear.

I rolled my eyes and elbowed him in the side, Derek simply laughed. We all piled into the elevator and got off on the fifth floor.

"Your lucky you get your own room" I said to Derek.

"Well I mean if I shared a room with anyone they might not be able to resist me" Derek smirked.

"Keep on dreaming" I laughed.

I stopped outside my door and unlocked it. Entering the room dropping my go bag on the double bed, I noticed a door on the left wall I approached it and opened it. I could see Reid on the other side unpacking his things.

"So this is what Hotch meant" I said.

Spencer looked up and noticed me in the doorway.

"Yeah" Spencer answered awkwardly, he cleared his throat. "These rooms are usually for families with kids in which the parents don't particularly like there kids in the same space as them, they opt for these rooms even though they are more expensive so they can have a break from there children" Spencer rambled.

"How do you know that?" I asked.

"Well despite being an only child whenever my parents would book a hotel they would always get one of these kinds of rooms" Spencer said.

"Wow" I said not knowing what else to reply to that.

"Anyways Hotch wants us down at the station in ten" I said looking down at my watch.

"Do you want to drive with me?" Spencer asked.

I was about to answer when Spencer cut me off.

"Only because it uh saves fuel and the environment is in danger...." Spencer rambled on which made me laugh.

"I was going to say yes Spencer" I laughed.

"Oh ok cool" He said giving me a crooked smile.

I chuckled lightly and exited Spencer and I's room following him down to the carpark where we climbed into one of the black SUVs. Spencer backed out of the carpark one arm stretched across the back of my chair.

"Let me just say you are a much better driver than Derek" I joked.

"That's not saying much Morgan drives like a maniac" Spencer replied turning his head to look at me a goofy smile stuck on his face.

"I hope the press doesn't name the killer" I said.

"This guy is most likely a narcissist, any name the press gives him will fuel his anger" Reid agreed.

I leant my head back and let out a sigh.

"What's up?" Reid asked.

"I just have a bead bad feeling that's all" I replied.

Reid simply nodded and averted his gaze back to the road. After about five minutes Reid pulled into the station. The rest of the team were already waiting for the two of us.

"Alright, Reid, L/n and Morgan I want you guys to go check out the latest crime scene, Prentiss, JJ I want you to stay at the station and interview the families again see if there is anything that the local police missed" Hotch said.

"And Rossi and I will work with Garcia to find any possible links other than age between the victims" He finished.

We all nodded and went our separate ways.

"I'm driving" Morgan said.

Reid and I both groaned in protest. Morgan was my bestfriend but I would never trust him to drive me anywhere.

"Oh come on Babygirl I don't drive that bad" Morgan chuckled.

"You either drive like a homicidal maniac or like a grandmother there is no in between" I teased.

Morgan rolled his eyes and climbed into the driver's seat despite Reid and I's protests.

We pulled up to the crime scene and the three of us walked up to the yellow tape which surrounded the property. We all flashed our badges to the police officer standing guard, he nodded lifting up the tape for us to enter.

We headed up the stairs and into the house. There was droplets of blood on the free making a trail into the lounge. There was a white sheet covering what was Karla Roberts body. I pulled out some blue latex gloves from my back pocket sliding them onto my hands before approaching the body.

I carefully lifted up the white sheet. Karla's face was pale nearly grey and her eyes were open in shock. There was a cut going across her neck and a singular bullet wound smack dead in the forehead.

"The cut on her neck was made post mortem" Reid said pointing down to the yellowish tissue surronding the wound.

"So cutting her neck wasn't torture?" Morgan said.

"It's most likely a message" I muttered.

I dropped the white sheet to cover Karla's body. We stepped to the side allowing the coroners to take her body for a more detailed report.

"So he cuts the womans neck after she's dead so he probably isn't a sadist" Morgan said.

"The cause of death would've been the execution style like shot to the head" Reid agreed crossing his arms over his chest.

"So she died instantly no torture while she was alive, this isn't a sadist" I said.

"This man is an executioner" Morgan said.

"We'll get all this information back to Hotch" Reid said pulling out a phone from  his jacket pocket.

I nodded and looked back down at the spot where Karla was previously laying. The image of her face of horror stuck in my mind. I had seen countless of dead bodies but this one was different.

Usually the bodies look calm or look finally at peace. But she looked scared, traumatized. She knew what her fate was and there was nothing she could do about it.

"Y/n" I felt a hand on my shoulder and I snapped out of my thoughts.

I snapped my head around. Reid was standing behind me resting his hand on  my shoulder.

"Yeah, yeah I'm alright" I replied.

"You sure?" Reid asked again.

I nodded hesitantly.

"Yeah I'm ok" I replied heading towards the car.
