Draco and Ariella left the classroom to find that both Harry and Ron left, Ariella felt a rush of relief to not only that but to hear that she was considered a friend to Draco. Although, she wondered if this would change her in any way, if she would become the girl she desired to be.
Ariella spent part of her free time with Draco to help him catch up with the amount of work he missed out during his absence. After helping him go through a week’s worth of Defense against the Dark Arts, her bladder was telling her it was time for a break. She left Draco to copy her notes to head to the washroom, she couldn’t help but hope for the time being whatever lies for her in the future, will turn out for the better.
She walked into the washroom with a whistle escaping her lips, the acoustics of the washroom made the sound bounce off the walls and echo throughout the room. Before she headed into one of the stalls, she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror, she smoothen the sides of her hair and glided her fingers along the fringe of her bangs. She never paid attention to her appearance and now that she did, she couldn’t see herself the way Oliver did.
“She’s really cute.”
As those words echoed in her head, she couldn’t help but smile when she thought of what he said. He genuinely liked her for her and he was willing to get to know her. Ariella was lost in her happiness, she brought her head down and headed for the stall but as she kept her eyes to the floor, she really didn’t pay attention to where she was going.
Ariella felt the fabric of another robe, when she brought her head up, the girl was dressed in a Ravenclaw robe; her eyes were closed for the brief moment. She looked familiar to Ariella and then she realized she was one of the girls she shares a room with. When the girl opened her eyes, they were a light brown that matched her long wavy curls that touched just below her shoulders; her eyes almost made her complexion seem very fair.
“I’m so sorry!” Ariella quickly said
The girl shook her head and laughed, she looked down before looking at Ariella but when she did, she made an odd expression that irked Ariella.
“I know you.” She said; there was a hint of an Irish accent when she spoke but it was heavily masked by her British accent.
“Yeah, we’re in the same room.” Ariella mentioned. She couldn’t help feel a tad bit awkward talking to her roommate for the first time since she got back.
“No,” Ariella’s face dropped once the girl said that. Now, she felt really awkward. “You’re dating Oliver, aren’t you?” She slyly smiled.
Ariella blushed “No, I’m not.”
“Yeah, you are. You’re going on a date with him tomorrow, aren’t you?” She pointed out.
Ariella was surprised she knew that much, not even Harry or Ron knew that much. The girl noticed how surprised Ariella was for her to know that much.
"Oh, Oliver and I are friends. That and I heard him tell Robbie about it. Aren’t you lucky?” She smiled but somehow, she couldn’t help but feel cautious towards her. Suddenly, the girl let out a sound as if something hit her, instead, she stuck her hand out “I’m Ambrosia Ackerly. And you are? Sorry, Oliver and Robbie aren’t exactly name droppers.”
Ariella took a moment before she grabbed Ambrosia’s hand, “Ariella Price.” She smiled as she slipped her hand into Ambrosia’s.
“If only I knew your name sooner, you see, Oliver was asking about you, about a week or two ago but I really didn’t know who you were but at least he took the initiative. Well, he already knew your name but he just wanted to know more about you. If you get what I’m trying to say.” She said but somewhere towards the end, her words started to lack emotion.
