I never wanted to get married
because I was afraid of divorce
I never wanted to live
because I'm afraid of deathBut I found out it wasn't divorce I was afraid of
but the life after the marriage ended
And it wasn't death I was afraid of
but what life may come afterI was never afraid of the facts, the crossing, the ending
I was afraid of the uncertainty what may come afterI was never afraid it would end
I was afraid it wouldn't
