A summer of chaos

The party!

Time skip brought to you by: " realizing how dangerous the plant is" (that was an inside joke only one person will get ;)

Time: 5:45 (15 minutes before the party)
Shuichi's POV:

While I'm getting ready for the party, I get a FaceTime call from someone called 'Panta lover soon to be lover boi'. I answer but only show my face because I'm getting dressed.
Kokichi: Heyyy Shuichi-Chan!
Shuichi: hi Kokichi
Kokichi: can you walk me to the party pleaseeee?
Shuichi: sure, I'll stop by your house in 10 minutes.
Kokichi: oh, I'm already at your house!
Shuichi: WHAT

I look out the window to see Kokichi waving up at me. Oh crap, I'm just in my underwear and I've been standing next to the window this whole time.. meaning Kokichi could see me this whole time. I quickly move and finish getting dressed. I then grab my phone off the charger and run out the door to walk with Kokichi. As soon as I open the door I see Kokichi, "wow Kokichi, you look great" he looks so good.. "but why are you wearing sunglasses? It's almost night." "It's called style Shuichi " he says. He reaches into his bag and throws me a pair. "Ah, thanks" I say. "Well are you going to wear them or are you just going to look at them?" Kokichi says laughing. I put in the sunglasses and we start walking to Kaede's house
Kokichi: so did you bring your swimsuit? There's a pool there ya know
Shuichi: yeah
Kokichi: I hope there's Panta
Shuichi: of course you do Kokichi
Kokichi: it wouldn't be a party without Panta!

There is a somewhat long silence and I'm starting to worry, did I say something wrong?
Kokichi: well?
Shuichi:um
Kokichi: are you doing anything this summer?
Shuichi: not really, no. I'll probably spend my time at the library reading mystery books.
Kokichi: that's so boringgg
Shuichi: well are you doing anything?
Kokichi: maybe, maybe not!

Kokichi's POV
*mild cursing*

I'm looking forward to the summer but I'm a little nervous. I don't want to spend any time with my mother. I don't want to spend my entire summer crying and being beaten. I hope I can go to a friends house, otherwise I might have to put my running away plan into action. If I do run away, I'll probably never see my friends again, and my beloved Shuichi-Chan. I try to push these thoughts away, I just want to enjoy my freedom with my friends while I still can. I think Shuichi noticed my worried face and he asked what was wrong. I have to lie I guess. It's hard lying to Shuichi because he can read me, it also hurts lying to Shuichi because I just want to tell him the truth. I've never had any problems lying to people, except I'm such a bad liar when it comes to Shuichi. I tell Shuichi, "yeah, I'm just kinda hungry ". "Oh ok, we can talk about it if you want". He says, I think it's so cute how he cares about me. "We can talk later, now it's time to party! I say. Shuichi looks happy again , which makes me happy. "We're almost there!" He says. We get to Kaede's house and he opens the gate for me, it's time for me to make my grand entrance. "HELLOOOO PEOPLE!!!" Everyone turns around and some roll their eyes and other laugh. The party is Hawaiian themed and Kaede and Rantaro did a great job decorating. There is about 16 people there including me and my beloved. Shuichi walks in behind me and we start looking for Kaede and Rantaro. "Hey lovebirds!" We hear from Kaito. "Hi Kaito" Shuichi says, "hey there ultimate idiot!" I say while laughing. He ignores me and starts talking to Shuichi, I try to eavesdrop to make sure he isn't trying to hit on my beloved. Kaito leans in a little too close to Shuichi so I decide to step in. "Shuichi is MINE" I say while taking his hand and walking away. "Kokichi, Kaito is just my friend." Shuichi says. I look up at Shuichi and I say "he was getting realllyyy close to you and I just wanted to make sure that he knew you were mine!". "Yours?" Shuichi says. "Well um-" thankfully I got interrupted. I turn around to see Kaede and Rantaro HOLDING HANDS. "What did I miss!" I say. "Kinda a lot,"  Rantaro says. "Congratulations guys!" Shuichi says. "Thanks" Kaede says. "sooo what happened!" I say. "Rantaro asked me out and I said yes" Kaede says. "Well obviously!" I say, all of a sudden we hear squeals, of course, it's none other than Tsumugi. "I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW ITTTTT!!!! RANTARO AND KAEDE ARE DATING!!!!!" "No duh Sherlock " I say. To make matters worse, Miu stands up on a chair, holding up a can of soda and yells "to the two dickheads who finally started dating!!!" Everyone cheers and Kaede and Rantaro start blushing. "It's not THAT big of a deal is it" I say, but no one heard me because of the cheering. Then Kaito stands up and yells "let's get this party started!!!! " and with that, the music started playing. I decide to be extra and I start ripping my clothes off. I'm wearing a swimsuit underneath but it was funny to see everyone's horrified faces as I start throwing my clothes at them Nehehehe. I run to the edge of the pool and I cannonball into it, splashing everyone next to the pool, including Maki, who I'm assuming was in the middle of flirting with Kaito. Kaito picks Maki up and throws her in the pool as well, he then rips off his shirt and jumps in the pool as well. Pretty soon, everyone has jumped in the pool and everyone's clothes are scattered everywhere. We start playing beach-ball dodgeball when I realize that Shuichi isn't in the pool with us. He must be inside. I get out of the pool and dry off. As I'm skipping to the door, I get pegged in the head with a beach ball from Tenko. "Ha!" She yells. I pick up the ball and attempt to throw it at her. Unfortunately for me, I missed and it hit her precious Himiko, who was floating on a blowup rubber duck. Himiko lost her balance and fell into the water. Tenko was enraged and started throwing everything in the pool. I run for cover, And I eventually make it to the door. I lock it behind me because I see Tenko climbing out of the pool, with a pool noodle in hand. I start looking for Shuichi. "Shuichi-Chan???" I yell. "Kokichi?" Shuichi says, it sounds like it's coming from upstairs. I find Shuichi in the upstairs bathroom in his swimsuit.
Kokichi: what are you doing up here?
Shuichi: W-well um
Kokichi: you can trust me Shuichi, I promise I will try my hardest to not make fun of you
Shuichi: I'm kinda self-conscious going out to parties in my bathing suit
Kokichi: Woahhh you look great

Oh shittt I start blushing as I look up and down his body. He then starts blushing too

Kokichi: I can stay with you if you want, and I will smack anyone who makes fun of you with a pool noodle!
Shuichi: o-okay..

I grab Shuichi's hand and we walk into the backyard together. I can tell he's kinda uncomfortable but he starts to ease up as we get closer to the pool. We got to the edge and I couldn't help myself, I just had to push him in. "Ahh" he says as he falls into the pool. He comes out of the water laughing and he reaches out of the pool and pulls me into the cool blue water. We both held each other and looked into each other's eyes. "I wish this moment could last forever " Shuichi says. Shuichi's amber eyes are shining and his navy blue hair is glistening from the water. I can't stop staring, I really love him.

Shuichi's POV

Me and Kokichi are holding on to each other and I look into his violet eyes. His smile is brighter than the sun and I feel truly happy whenever I'm with him. There's just something about him, that I just can't get enough of. It's like we were made for each other...

Kaede's POV

Me and Rantaro seem to be the center of everyone's attention. Everyone is making such a big deal of me and Rantaro dating, I do secretly love the attention though. We decide to have a water gun war and me and Rantaro are on opposite teams, well this will certainly be interesting! We split up and go to opposite sides of the pool. Everyone's playing except Shuichi and Kokichi, they are in the pool and they look like they are having a romantic moment, so I'm not going to interrupt them
Girls team:
Tenko: we need a winning strategy!
Miu: I have an idea! Just keep on mercilessly squirting those-
Angie: We should pray to Atua that we win!
Himiko: I'll use my magic to make us win!
Maki: All your plans suck
Kaede: how about we just stick together!
Tsumugi: *starts squirting people on her team*
Kirumi: The game hasn't even started yet Tsumugi! And we are also on your team!
Tsumugi: sorry guys! I was just testing it to see if it worked!
Kaede: everyone look! The guys already started so we need to hurry!
Maki: just don't get wet and just focus on the goal
Himiko: we could use pool floats as shields!
Tenko: yes Himiko! That's a genus idea! ASSEMBLE THE POOL FLOATS

The girls team start running to the pool shed to get pool floats while the guys team up in pairs of two. "Ready, set, gooo!" I said. All the boys let out a weird battle cry that made us laugh "y'all sound like dying cows" Miu said. "Let's beat those degenerates!" Tenno yelled. We all start running at the boys. The water gun battle rages on!!!
