The boys had calmed down so Lance took the chance to slip Keith's hands into his own.

Keith debated if he wanted to pull away but he felt oddly safe so he let Lance proceed in whatever he was doing.

"Now that we aren't mad anymore... let me say a proper sorry."

"Lance, that's really not necessary. I promise their aren't any hard feelings-"

Lance gently squeezed Keith's palms to get him quiet "Shush, let me at least do this for myself. Keith, I'm sorry for taking my frustrations out on you. I shouldn't have gotten mad at you for doing your job. It was selfish and if you'd, let me, I'd like to start over and be friends."

"Wow uh, that was probably the nicest thing you've ever said to me." Keith looked away, trying to hide the heat covering his face. Taking a deep breath, Keith continued "I don't think I want to start over though."

Lance stared and his and Keith's hands trying to figure out if his apology was accepted or not.

"I want us stay where we are. I don't think I'd ever want to start over, I wouldn't want to loose the pure Lance McClain experience. Even if things weren't always perfect, I wouldn't trade meeting you for anything else." Keith laughed, taking his hand our of Lance's so he could ruffle his hair.

"H-Hey! Knock it off Mullet! Since when did you become so soft? Here I was thinking that The Blade made you tougher." Lance joked.

"Please Lance, when have I been soft to anyone? That reminds me. Are we all done with this in depth bonding we did? Talking about this stuff is starting to get uncomfortable."

"Fine, as long as we are friends." Lance got up from the floor, holding a hand out for Keith to take.

"Yes Lance, you are my friend." Keith smiled, accepting Lance's hand in a firm shake.

"Would you even say best friends?" Lance said, beaming in overdramatic happiness for the sake of annoying Keith.

"That might be pushing it a bit far. Don't you think Sharpshooter?" Keith went along with Lance's act.

"Hmmm, I wouldn't say so. After all, we did have a bonding moment."

Keith pulled away from Lance, folding his arms together "So now you remember?"

Lance blushed, about to make up some excuse for 'forgetting" what happened but thanks to Allura, he didn't have to.

"Lance? Keith? Have you made any progress? You've been in there for over an hour. I'm starting to get worried about what will happen if Red doesn't let you out soon." Allura shouted from outside.

"Things are going well with Lance, I think we've bonded? I'm not sure why she's not letting us out yet. We'll keep working on it."

"Wait? So you guys aren't fighting? Keith, are you sure you didn't kill Lance or anything?" Allura asked, sounding half serious.

"I'm alright princess, Keith hasn't hurt me yet." Lance snickered.

"Consider me impressed, I wasn't sure if you two would be okay alone in such a small space. I'll be heading back up to see if Pidge found a solution. Call if you need assistance."

Keith waited until Allura's foot steps became quiet before turning to Lance.

"So, how are things going with Allura? Has she fallen victim to your sweet talk yet."

Lance rested his elbow against the wall, quickly glancing over Keith. "If I'm being honest, I haven't been trying as much. The team has been super stressed not having you around, I haven't had the energy lately to try at something that obviously not gonna happen."

"That doesn't sound like the Lance I know. If you really like someone, you wouldn't stop trying over a little stress. You've been swooning over Allura since the moment you met her." Keith frowned.

"Firstly, it was a lot of stress. Second, why are you so suddenly interested in who I like?"

"I'm not, I just figured it was a decent question to ask. We don't know how much longer we'll be in here for, I thought I might as well get to know you better." Keith lied, slightly disliking the idea of Allura and Lance dating.

"That's fair. I won't lie to you, the princess is gorgeous. She's sweet, kind, courageous. She's one of the strongest people I know."

Keith kept his face expressionless as he waited for Lance to finish.

"But she's not right for me. I've been trying for so long to get her to fall for me yet it hasn't worked. I've met so many wonderful people while traveling the universe. It's made me realize that no matter how much you like a person, it won't matter if it's one sided. If a person can't look at me the same way I saw Allura, than a relationship is not gonna work."

"It appears like I'm not the only one who's matured. I never thought I'd see the day when you'd take on such a gentlemanly mindset."

Lance did a little spin and winked "Not so fast, Lover boy Lance hasn't left the building yet. As long as there are hot babes roaming around the galaxy, you can expect me to make my moves. Someone is bound to fall for my charms."

Keith stood there, deciding whether or not Lance's persistence was a good thing. Lance's happiness is a good thing, Keith concluded.

"Since you asked, I get to return the question. Have cute girls caught your eye?" Lance wiggled his eyebrows up and down.

"There aren't a lot of girls I get to work with in the Blade. To tell you the truth I don't really like girls in general, I mean Pidge and Allura are great friends but I'm not really attracted to either of them."

"If you don't like girls does that mean you aren't looking for a relationship. Like at all?"

Keith tilted his head to the side to think "If this war ever ends then I might consider one. I'd rather not get committed to anyone just in case something bad happens. Also, I'm into guys."

Lance's mouth dropped open to form a surprised 'O'

"You're gay?"

"Sorry if you find that weird." Keith stared at the wall next to him, preparing to step back if needed.

"What! No, not all. I was just caught off guard. I wasn't expecting that. I like totally support you man. Thanks for telling me."

"Of course Lance."

Owo it's 2am. I've been writing more than expected so this book might be finished soon.

I hope you are enjoying it so far, I've had a great time writing it. I wanna keep this story 12 chapters or under so I can move on to another book.

I don't really care for how this chapter turned out but I don't think I'll change it since I'm kinda sleepy.

Before I sleep though, here is this chapters question.

What's your favorite book? (Paper book, not Wattpad or fanfiction.)

(Mine is The Outsiders by SE Hinton. That book is the reason why I started writing.)
