Another hour had passed and Keith and Lance were still stuck in the red lion.

Many stories where shared, many questions were asked. And before either realized, late afternoon rolled around.

They had been going through time so effortlessly, it was a surprise to Keith that no more serious arguments had happened.

"Oh my God Lance, you did not do that." Keith said in disbelief.

"I had no choice! That guard from the space mall was two tics away from from taking Kaltenecker!"

"Why were you bringing her back to the space mall anyway?"

"I already told you, it was her birthday and Allura wanted to treat her to an outfit." Lance stated as if it was normal to buy a cow clothing.

"I really did miss a lot when I was away with the Blade didn't I?" Keith wandered aloud.

"You know, Voltron would be more than happy to have you back. There's always space in the castle for you."

"I would love to but we both know I can't stay here. There isn't a lion for me to pilot and I can't just sit around doing nothing."

"I figured you say that." Lance looked down sadly.

"Don't get all depressed on me now. I'll be back again to visit before you realize."

"Yeah, but I kinda ruined this trip. By the time Red let's us go, Kolivan might be here to pick you up."

"I'm here now aren't I? I still have a few days left before I go, I'm sure we'll be out before then." Keith reassured.

"I sure hope so-" before Lance could finish his sentence the lights turned off, leaving a few small glowing red accents to light the space.

"What's going on?" Keith stood up to look for a power switch.

When Keith found it he began flickering it a few times, waiting for something to happen. It was still dark.

"Be careful and don't trip on anything." Lance warned.

"I'm being careful. Maybe we should call Hunk or Coran to see if they can fix the lights." As Keith turned back towards Lance to pick up his helmet the ground started to shake.

That gentle shake quickly grew into the Lion tossing and turning as if it were in battle.

"Calm down girl" Keith yelled trying not to fall.

Unfortunately Keith's balance wasn't able to hold up too long until he eventually tripped and fell into Lance's lap.

Well this is awkward...

"Stop it already!" Lance panicked, gripping onto Keith to keep him from crashing into the wall in front of them.

Finally the movements had came to a halt but the lights were still off so neither could see much.

"Are you alright?" Lance asked.

"I'm fine, but this is starting to get too much. We need to find a way out, apparently what we did wasn't enough."

Keith huffed, trying to get off of Lance so he could get to his helmet which had rolled by the control panel while they were being thrashed around.

"Wait a second..." Lance held onto Keith's waist to keep him from getting up again.

"What is it?" Keith flushed at their awkward position.

"Do you feel that?"

As Keith was trying to figure out what Lance was talking about, a cold blast of air brushed against the exposed parts of his skin.

Within a minute the red lion's interior had gone from a comfortable 70ish degrees and dropped.

"You have to be joking right now." Keith groaned, trying not to shiver.

"Just call the team and see if they can get us out before we freeze to death." Lance hesitantly let go of Keith, instantly regretting it as his only source of heat got up.

"H-Hey, you guys there?" Keith started the call, shaking like a leaf.

"Keith! Are you two okay? I've been keeping eye on Red's status and the temperature control looks like it stopped working." Pidge answered, sounding oddly stressed out.

"We're fine for now but it's freezing it here. Is something broken? If so, can you fix it?" Keith reached over to his thin red jacket he abandoned earlier and put it on in an attempt to get warmer.

"By the looks of it, nothing is broken. The temperature drop is happening on the lion's terms." Coran interjected in the background, sounding almost as scared as Pidge.

"Oh that's just great, the red lion is going to kill us."

"Relax Lance, based on my research of the human anatomy you aren't in any immediate danger. The risk of 'hypothermia' as you humans call it doesn't become an issue until you reach sub zero temperatures. According to this converter, the lion's interior is 20 of your earth heat measurement units. The likelihood of you dying is extremely low since there's no windchill or water to further drop your body's temperature. You'll just be a bit uncomfortable." Coran quickly sent a copy of the temperature readings.

"That's good to know, thank you. Please update Shiro on whats happening." Keith relaxed a little noticing the temperature remain steady.

"Will do, I'll be calling you back later to let you know if any changes occur." Pidge cut the communications.

Hey there, it's been a day or two since this was updated but I'm back! This story should be concluded in 2-3 more chapters so that should be fun.

As always, please forgive any spelling, grammer, or logic mistakes in my writing. My brain tends to work faster than I can type so I accidentally screw up a lot of things.

Today's question is:

If you could change your name to anything, what would it be?

(I think I'd choose Conner, I'm a big fan of Dear Even Hansen and I always thought that name was really pretty [I know it's stereotypically used as a male name but I still really like it.])
