London, England; 15 April 2000
"The reports say they were around here," said Harry, glancing at the cafe.
"If they were in a meeting, why would they pick this place?" asked Ron. "I expected a dark mansion or an abandoned warehouse."
"Have you not heard of hiding in plain sight?" Neville spoke.
"All right," said Harry and he looked back to the other Aurors as one asked, "Do we wait it out or charge in?"
"Harry!" Ron exclaimed.
Harry turned around and one of the newest Aurors had gone up to the shop. He walked inside casually and the door closed behind him.
Harry ran across the street, Ron and Neville following him, the others running soon after. They walked inside the shop, but once they entered, the place was not the typical cafe with a display of pastries and coffee makers. Instead, it was a dark, cold room.
The tip of their wands illuminated. They looked around, their senses activated. There only saw cobwebs, dust, and stone walls. They smelled nothing suspicious except for the odd odor of smoke that one questioned if there was a fire. One Auror felt the walls, testing to see if there were any patterns that would open up a secret passageway.
"Here!" Neville whisper shouted.
The others walked towards him as Neville began climbing a staircase. Harry grabbed the Auror who was at the top of the stairs.
"What do you think you're doing, Lucas?" he scolded.
"Shhh!" Lucas pointed into the room above, in which he was spying. "They're having a meeting of some sort."
Then, a spell aimed at them. Ron cast the shield charm, deflecting the spell. Some Death Eaters Apparated, some fought. It was chaos inside. Spells were cast in each corner of the room until Harry heard a ticking noise.
The last Death Eater was about to apparate until Ron had hit him from behind with a stunning spell. He walked closer to the device and his eyes widened.
"It's a bomb!" Ron yelled. "Get out of here!"
Each Auror left, but Harry was examining the Death Eater that they caught, hoping to recognize him. He didn't. Harry heard the beeping noise go faster and he apparated, taking the body with him. Then, the building exploded.

"Did you hear?" one man asked as he walked into the elevator. "Old Death Eater sightings in London. Aurors never managed to capture the guys."
"And they say Europe has the best Aurors," the other man snickered.
Another man walked into the elevator at the last second saying, "I do recall one was captured, goes by the name Derek. Still, I hear we should be on high alert. It is possible they'd come here to hide."
Cassie walked out of the elevator on her floor and entered her office. Immediately, she wrote a letter to Kingsley Shacklebolt. By the next day, Shacklebolt had gotten back to her. His letter read:
Cassie,
The Death Eaters were spotted in London seeming to have just come from a sort of meeting. We'll be investigating the matter and today, Derek will be put under questioning. So far, there is nothing to worry about, but do not let your guard down. I am sure I know who exactly he's working for.
Kingsley Shacklebolt
Cassie paced back and forth, despite having paperwork to fill out and things she needed to analyze. Her heart began to race and her palms started to sweat.
