Cassie knew that the day Morrighan would come for her would arrive. She didn't fear him one bit. He was not even half of what the Dark Lord was. Cassie had prepared herself for what was to come, however, she didn't expect it to be on a wedding day. As unexpected as she was, she knew she couldn't show an ounce of fear or hesitation.

It was time to end it all here.

Cassie pulled out her wand. Light shot out of it and Morrighan was blasted up into the air, being forced to pull apart from her, and landed on his butt. Cassie stood up, dusting herself off.

"I've got to say, your plan really sucks," Cassie said, watching as Morrighan groaned in pain. "Crashing a wedding? Not very original and highly disrespectful."

"You think you're in a position to be mocking me?" he snarled.

"Well, I am the one standing," Cassie remarked.

Morrighan quickly got to his feet, straightening his cloak, muttering curse words under his breath. If there was something he hated most in the world, it was being defeated by a group of teenagers. He could not accept it.

Cassie was thinking fast. As Morrighan was getting to his feet, Cassie's expression turned to half embarrassed and half relieved. "Is Enasni on your side?" Cassie asked him. "Is she your spy? Must be." She had thought about how convenient it was for Enasni to make Fred love her. Cassie knew Morrighan knew it was going to affect her — and it did; enough to distract Cassie.

Cassie cast a protection spell, deflecting the jinx coming at her. As Morrighan kept casting curses at her, Cassie had to play defense. It reminded her of her duel with her aunt — how crazy she was, cocky, and determined to win.

In the background, she could hear the shouts of people casting spells. She could hear a few screams, which worried her even more. Every time she looked to see who it was, Morrighan kept her busy.

Cassie, who was unintentionally backing up, felt the tall grass brushing against her legs. She created a diversion by using birds to swarm around him, then ran into the tall grass. After hearing the loud footsteps and panting behind her, she disapparated, then reappeared in a large clearing in the grass.

"Avada Kedavra!"

The green light illuminated the area, able to be seen from the Burrow. The others had taken a glance at the area, fearing it was one of their loved ones. Zach, realizing the absence of Cassie, started running towards the green light.

"Zach!" Jack called after him. He grabbed his arm before he could go further. "Where do you think you're going?"

"Cassie could be in danger!" he told him urgently.

"If anything, she's the one killing people," Jack said.

Zach pulled away from him saying, "Cassie is not some cold-hearted, selfish person you make her out to be. If you knew anything about her, you'd know she sacrificed her happiness for her family. She never got those fun teenage years we may have gotten. If anyone's cold-hearted, it's you."

Zach ran into the tall grass, heading to where he saw the light. Upon entering the clearing, he flicked out his wand, casting the Stunning Spell to take out an approaching death eater. Once he was done, Zach kneeled beside Cassie, then sighed with relief. He looked at the younger Malfoy, then back at the first body, to Cassie, then back at him.

"Did you... "

"I had to," Draco said.

"I told you to not be involved," Cassie reminded, standing up. Though she sounded displeased with her brother's presence, she was grateful he was here.

"Yes, well, I never liked listening to you so... " Draco remarked.

"Where's Morrighan?" Cassie asked, looking around.

"I didn't see him," Zach responded as they began rushing back to the action.

The ground shook as a large boom sounded. A cloud of flames shot into the sky and Cassie could hear the screams of many. When they exited the tall grass, everyone was watching the tent burn in flames.

From inside the tent, Cassie caught a glimpse of Morrighan. She wasn't hesitant to run inside the tent. She wanted the war to finally end; she wanted peace.

"She did not just run in there, did she?" said Neville, running his hands through his hair.

Draco, who was going to run inside, was stopped by Harry Potter. Draco scowled at him, pulling away from him as he said, "Get your hands off me, Potter!"

"If there's one thing I know about Cassie, it's that she can handle herself," Potter said. "We've still got to clear up the last of the Death Eaters, put the fires out— "

"I love how you don't give a damn about anyone that's not in your little circle," Draco sneered.

"Anyone not in my circle treated me like shit so why should I give a damn about you?" Potter shot back.

Draco was about to retort but was cut off by a booming sound coming from inside the tent. Large gusts of wind came out from the tent. Then, everything went silent. The fire had been put out and there were only the sounds of heavy breathing from the remaining individuals.

"Has anyone seen Fred?" asked a panicked George Weasley, Angelina Johnson jogging beside him.

"I haven't seen him," Ginny said, joining them. "You don't think he was in there, too, Harry?"

"One way to find out," Harry responded, walking forward.

"Now you care, huh?" Draco said as quietly as he could. However, Harry heard, and he turned back to Draco. "What? You just proved my point. You only now go in there once one of yours is in danger."

"Listen carefully, Malfoy," Potter said, angry. "All my life, I've been picked on for being an orphan or bullied by you and your lot. So sorry if I don't give a damn about you or Cassie. Isn't she the one who got us in this mess?"

"Bloody hell!" said Ron loudly. "You two arguing makes my wedding day worse! Harry, mate, this isn't on Cassie. And Draco... you're still a twat. What matters is stopping Morrighan — who is after all our heads!"

The two gave their last glares before following the others into the tent. They couldn't have fathomed what had happened in the tent. Morrighan was lying on the opposite side of the tent near the alter. Neville had gone to check him, finding that he was dead. His eyes were soulless, staring up at the ceiling.

Fred laid a few feet in front of Morrighan. The Weasleys had all gathered around him, hoping he wasn't gone. Though his eyes were shut closed as if he were dead, there was a small smile etched upon his face — the one of freedom. After checking his pulse and checking if he was breathing, everyone around him sighed with relief, glad that they didn't lose him.

Cassie was in the aisle, sprawled out on the ground. Draco and Zach had kneeled beside her, and Draco had embraced Cassie in his arms. A single tear rolled down his cheek, but no one noticed. Not many understood Draco which was why he was afraid that he would lose his sister — the one who knew him better than he knew himself; the one who understood him better than anyone else.

"It's gonna be okay," said Zach, and he glanced at the others, whose eyes were on Cassie. "She's alive."
