Naruto pov

Kurama suddenly pulls away but keeps his hands on my shoulders. "Woah, wait what ?? Kit are you sure ??" "Yes, I-I can't, I don't want to, I-I .... I give up" I lower my head in shame and start shaking. I reach up and put my hand on my chest and grip onto my shirt "I c-can't keep on doing th-this anymore Kura, I quit, I give up. I-It hurts to much"

I fall to my knees and curl in on myself "w-what's the point anyway !?!? I always do e-everything to try a-and redeem myself, to t-try and make the v-villagers like me (sniff) b-but what do they give me in r-return ??"

"Try to k-kill me ever-ry year on my birthday ?? Beat me ?? TREAT ME LIKE TH-THE PLAGUE !?!? RAPE ME !?!? WHY DO I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS !?!? WHY ME !?!? WHY GODDAMMIT !?!? WHY !?!?"

I punch the ground sobbing and hyperventilating. Kurama pulls me into his lap and hugs me tightly while rocking me and whispering calming nothings into my ear. It takes a few minutes but I manage to calm down. I slowly pull away and sniff, Kurama cups both of my cheeks and starts whipping away my tears.

"Ya'know what kit, you're right, it's time for you to break these chains and to be free, to be safe and to be happy" I look up at him and smile softly. "Just finish this mission first alright, then we'll leave, together, you and me Naruto" I giggle a bit "well duh, I am your container" I look up at him with a dorky smile in place

"No" "huh ??" I stare at him confused tilting my head to the side a bit "you are not my container. You Naruto, are my best friend, you're my little brother, and most importantly, you're my kit" I stare at him shocked for a couple of seconds as my eyes get watery again "K-Kurama" he leans in and pecks my forehead "wipe away your tears, hold your chin up high and finish this mission so that we can book it. Ok ??"

I smile and nod "o-ok" I sniff again and take another couple of minutes to compose myself. After that I grab my sticks and start getting up again. I walk towards the camp but when I get there Sakura starts yelling at me again. "Naruto why are you so late !?!? Sasuke came back like, five minutes ago !! Didn't you guys go together !?!? Where were you baka !?!?" I roll my eyes and ignore her as I walk over to the fire.

I set the sticks down on the ground and start poking at the fire boredly just watching as the fire consumes everything thrown at it. Truth is, I'm an pyromaniac. I love setting fires, watching as it gets bigger and stronger the more you toss things into it makes me feel like I can do the same thing, no matter what gets thrown at me.

But I also love how it can just get rid and kill off anything and everything that stands in it's way so easily makes me want to be like that as well. I just, really like fires for weird reasons. "Naruto" I jump a bit and look up at Kakashi "hmm ??" "Sakura has a point you know. Why were you late ??" I look back down at the fire and grab a new stick, tossing the other one into the fire to finish burning.

"Because I can, and I felt like it" everything gets quiet after that but I don't mind .... either that or I'm just ignoring them again. Whatever I don't care anymore.
After about forty-five minutes, I feel a tap on my shoulder making me jump slightly again. I lazily look up at a worried Kakashi "go get food with Sakura. That's an order"

I roll my eyes as I mimic him "tHaT's An OrDeR. That's all you people know" I look up to see him starring at me before rolling my eyes and mumbling out a small "whatever" I toss the half burnt twig into the fire and stand up dusting myself off a bit. I look up at Sakura to see her complaining and wanting to go with Sasuke instead.
