3rd Person POV

Two girls laid down to sleep one night, both of their minds spinning with thoughts and their imaginations running wild.

As both of them fell into a deep sleep, they had parallel dreams that were very similar, in fact, they were exactly the same, just from two different perspectives.

One girl dreamed of herself on the beach, the sunsetting beautifully over the glistening ocean while the wind blew a nice, cooling breeze.

Once the sun had set completely, a crescent moon took it's place along with many stars, casting reflections onto the water that glimmered brightly.

A content smile covered her face as she watched the tide roll in. She turned her head to find another girl sitting beside her, causing her to smile bigger.

The person beside her smiled back, grabbing her hand and interlacing their fingers before turning to look back out at the ocean.

The girl stared lovingly at the other, admiring her feautures and the way her face glowed in the dim moonlight.

Soon, the breeze picked up and turned to a stronger wind, making the girl shiver gently and scoot closer to the person next to her.

Noticing that she was cold, the other girl quickly removed the thin jacket she was wearing and wrapped it around her.

She whispered a thank you and snuggled into the jacket, happily inhaling the scent that belonged to the other.

The two sat in comfortable silence for another hour or so until the beach was almost completely silent and the sky was much darker.

They stood up slowly, gripping each other tightly, not quite ready to say goodbye. Hands still intertwined, they walked back to a small parking lot near the beach where their two cars sat alone next to each other.

After they reached their cars, they stood in between them and embraced in a long hug, swaying back and forth gently.

They pulled away slowly, one girl reaching for the handle to her car door before being pulled back against the other's chest.

The second girl leaned down and connected their lips in a passionate kiss. Startled, the first one froze before melting into the kiss.

They shared a few more kisses and pecks before finally saying goodbye to one another and climbing into their cars.

Knowing smiles and small waves were exchanged before the two drove off in different directions, the once gaping hole in their hearts now permanently filled.

The first girl awoke in confusion, replaying the events in her head to try and understand what had happened, not realizing the blush that covered her cheeks from the memory.

The second girl slowly woke up from the dream, her fingers brushing reminiscently over her lips and her heart beating quickly with excitement.

Although their reactions were different, they both shared one thing in common.

Neither knew who the other was in their dream.

First Girl POV

I had been awake since 3 AM, to bewildered by my dream to fall back asleep. I tried everything, reading, watching TV, but nothing seemed to draw my attention away from it.

My eyes were burning with restlessness by the time my alarm went off at 6:15. I pulled myself out of bed and made my way to the bathroom to get ready for the long day ahead of me.
