Jordan's POV

I watched with amusement as Vinnie frantically paced through our walk-in closet in search of an outfit to wear to dinner tonight.

Usually he wouldn't care what he wore, but this dinner was special since we were coming out to our parents about our realtionship.

After keeping it secret for a few months and telling our friends, we decided to tell our parents as well.

Vinnie picked out a skirt, staring at it for less than a second before tossing it to the side and grabbing a pair of skinny jeans, reminding me of another secret we were keeping.

Vinnie had recently discovered that he liked feminine clothing and was always too embarrassed to wear it around anyone besides me, opting for online shopping when he bought skirts or crop tops.

As much as I wanted him to be confident in himself and be honest about what he liked, I was kind of glad he didn't want to wear those things out so I wouldn't be jealous of all the stares he'd probably get.

Finally, after 30 minutes of going back and forth between options, he decided on a pair of black, ripped skinny jeans and a dress shirt similar to mine, in fact, it was my shirt, but I didn't say anything about that.

Once Vinnie finished getting dressed, we grabbed our stuff and locked the door to our apartment, sharing a quick kiss in the elevator.

On the way to the restaurant, I could sense Vinnie's growing nervousness from the way he turned up the music playing from the radio and how his leg began bouncing slightly.

I reached over and placed my hand on his thigh comfortingly, feeling his leg relax and his hand intertwine with mine.

"It's gonna be ok, Vin."

"I-i'm just scared."

"I know, but no matter what happens, I'm here for you." I replied.

Soon, we arrived and, as usual, were the last ones to get there, being led to a table near the back where both sets of parents were waiting for us.

We shared light conversation while waiting for our food to arrive, filling our parents in on what had happened the last few months.

They still thought we were only roommates and best friends, not at all suspicious of how clingy we were towards each other. Even now, holding hands under the table somewhat obviously, no one batted an eye.

After the food had come, we ate and waited until it felt like the dinner was nearing its end, the waiter bringing the check and everyone grabbing their things.

"Mom, dad, other mom, other dad, we have something to tell you," I started, feeling a bit nervous myself as all the attention turned to me.

"What is it, honey?" My mom asked.

"You know how Vinnie and I have been living together for over a year now," they all nodded, "well during that time, we've realized some things." The table was silent, waiting for me to continue as I struggled to think of what to say next.

"We're dating." Vinnie suddenly blurted out, eyes squeezing shut as he blushed.

I heard gasps and finally peeled my eyes away from Vinnie to see our parents reactions, being met with an overwhelming feeling of surprise and slight anger.
