Josh's POV
Every Sunday, I would go down to this small café in the middle of nowhere.
I had stumbled across it one day when my car broke down in that neighborhood.
All of my friends questioned how I had found the place and what kept me going there, and the reason was kinda hard to explain.
There's this one boy that works there on Sunday mornings and weekday afternoons.
I go every single week just to see him, but never talk to him.
Since I work a day job through the week, I could only go on Sundays.
I was driving over there right now, and I'm running a bit late to make it before his shift ended.
After coming so consistently all these weeks, you'd think he'd at least want to know my name, but instead he just asks, "Want the usual?"
I just hope that one day I can work up the nerve to tell him how I feel, even though I barely know him.
I do know that he's tall, hot, and has a kind, but sarcastic personality.
"In 0.4 miles, your destination will be on the left." You'd also think that I would know how to get here without a GPS by now.
I pulled into the small, semi empty parking lot, looking around frantically until spotting his car.
Sighing, I unbuckled my seatbelt and rushed in, colliding with a waiter who was carrying a pitcher of water.
I went to apologize before realizing that it was him. Anthony.
"Uhhhh, I-I..."
"Well are you going to apologize?" I thought he was mad until I looked up and saw a sly smile on his face.
"I'm s-sorry." I mumbled, looking back down at my shoes.
"It's ok, I know you'll make up for it."
"What?" I asked, but by the time I looked up, he was gone.
I stood in confusion for a couple of seconds before shaking it off and going to sit in a booth.
He came up to me with the same cheesy grin, like he didn't just say the most confusing thing.
"Hi! Want the usual?" Anthony was staring straight into my eyes.
I guess I stared for a bit to long because he moved closer to me so that I had to crane my neck to keep the eye contact.
"My shift ends in 5, so I can grab something for both of us."
"Huh?" I asked, still in a daze.
"You, me, here, now. Got it?" His eyes hardened a bit as he grabbed hold of my chin.
"I, uhhh, yeah." I mumbled.
"Good." He smirked, disappearing again.
When he finally came back after what seemed like forever, he was carrying my food as well as his.
He plopped down in front of me, pushing the plate towards me.
"Eat up. We have a lot to talk about."
I just nodded, picking up my fork and digging in. It's crazy how I've eaten this so many times and it still tastes so good.
We ate in silence, besides the music playing throughout the café.
