Griffin’s POV

I was at my desk filling out some paperwork for the new patients we’d gotten this week.

The day had been pretty slow, only about 5 or 6 families in the past 4 hours when usually our waiting rooms were packed.

On the plus side, Kio, or should I say, Dr. Cyr, had been spending a lot of time in his office which happened to have a window in perfect view of my desk.

I watched in pure admiration as he pushed a loose piece of brown hair out of his face, revealing his gorgeous brown eyes.

Yep, I’m in deep.

I’ve had a crush on him ever since I’d first been hired as a nurse here, but of course, he will never like me back.

Many nurses and doctors, male and female, had flirted with him or even blatantly asked him out, but he always turned them down or was too oblivious to tell.

I was so caught up in my daydream that I didn’t notice the person standing in front of me.

“Nurse Johnson, you there?”

I looked up to see Dr. Cyr smirking down at me, toned arms crossed over his chest in a cocky way.

“Uhh, yes sir?”

“We have a patient who’s afraid to get her check-up, so would you come help me demonstrate?”

“Oh, yeah, of course.” I stood up quickly, knocking over a jar of pens and pencils onto the ground.

Dr. Cyr smiled, trying to hide a laugh, but failing miserably.

I sighed, picking everything up and putting it back neatly on the desk before following him into the room where the patient was waiting.

“Samantha, this is Nurse Johnson. He’s going to help me show you that getting a check-up isn’t scary at all, ok?”

She nodded, squeezing her mom’s hand tighter. Samantha looked to be about 5 years old and she was trembling in her seat.

Kio gestured for me to take a seat on the operation chair, so I sat down, sending a smile to Samantha who returned it after a few seconds.

“Alright, we’ll start by taking the temperature and blood pressure.” Kio said.

I sat up straighter, staying as still as possible while Kio did everything.

When his hands came in contact with my forearm to take my blood pressure, I froze, a small blush rising to my cheeks and my heart starting to beat faster.

He took longer than I wanted to connect the device to my arm, but once he was done, I was sad to feel the absence of his hand.

“Now, I’m going to check his heartbeat.” Kio said, taking his stethoscope from around his neck.

My heart began racing at the thought of him hearing the thunder inside my chest.

He raised the stethoscope to my chest, making me jolt from the sudden touch of cool metal against my skin.

I looked away from his face as a dark blush covered mine while he moved to different areas of my chest and back.

When I finally turned to see his face, he was smirking widely, catching sight of my eyes and sending me a wink.

When the fake check-up was finally over and Samantha complied, I quickly left the room, running back to my desk and burying my face in my arms.

Why did I do that? He probably thinks I’m a creep.

About 15 minutes later, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked up to see Kio standing in front of me the same way as before.

He had a note in his hand that he immediately gave me, then walked away without saying a word.

I slowly opened the note, scared to see what it said, and read it anxiously.

The note read:

Meet me in my office, we need to talk about the results of your check-up.

Dr, Cyr

P.S. Call me Kio<3

Well that’s a relief, I thought I was getting a warning or something. But now I’m confused, what does he mean?

I got up from my seat, careful not to knock anything over, and made my way to his office.

I didn’t even get the chance to knock before the door was flung open and I was pulled in.

Once the door was closed and locked, Kio pushed me up against the wall, leaning down to whisper in my ear.

“Your heart was beating pretty fast. Was it because of me?”

I shook my head, blushing.

“Don’t lie baby boy, I see the way you stare at me when you think I’m not looking.”

This only caused my blush to grow as I tried to escape his burning gaze, but he just grabbed my chin, holding it in place.

Kio looked into my eyes for a minute, almost like he was searching for something, then connected our lips.

I gasped and he wasted no time slipping his tongue into my mouth and pushing up further against me.

He released his grip on my wrists and moved his hands to my waist, moving them up and down.

I wrapped my arms around his neck to pull him closer, if that was even possible.

Long forgotten were the few patients in the waiting room as Kio and I made out, leading to both of us being half naked when a nurse knocked on the door.

“Dr. Cyr? The patients have been waiting for ages, they’re starting to get fed up.”

“Tell them that they can have their money back if they leave.” I stared at him in shock.

“What?”

“You heard me, ask them to leave.”

“A-alright.” We listened as her footsteps slowly faded away.

“Why did you do that?”

“Because this is more important. I’ve waited so long to have you and I won’t let anything interrupt us.”

A/N: Sorry this is a day late, hope you enjoyed though! Let me know if you want me to start saying if the chapters are requests or not and who requested them. I’ve seen other authors do that, but I wasn’t sure if that’s what y’all wanted. Hopefully, you know if this is your request or not though. Love you guys!
