Eyeballs popping out of the sockets, hearts throbbing crazily inside their chests, Nandini and Manik stared at each other while their lips remained sealed as one.

Not just the time, they have themselves frozen in the moment. Their minds trying to register what just happened.

Manik's arms were by the side of her face, legs tangled with hers and his lower body pressing against her stomach. They looked at each other with their lips still in contact as the golden shadow of crescent hanging overhead in the sky, on the other side of the huge transparent glassed window, crept on them.

Perplexed and flushed, Manik quickly pulled away. He got up on his legs and heaved loudly, he worried his lower lip between his teeth as he sought to stay calm.

He was so much into the trauma of the sudden kiss that he didn't even bother to help her. Ceo nandini helped herself. She quietly, with her body trembling, pulled herself up and looked everywhere but him.

It was too awkward that they can't even dare to think about it.

They were avoiding each other. Trying to run away as this was not normal. You don't normally fall into such situation with your Ceo, or the the CEO falls in such situations with the person they have a thing for. This was totally absurd.

Manik stirred at the thought. He didn't do it purposely, it hapened out of an uncalled and unpredicted action.  But he was pissed.

"Bloody hell..." he grumbled. His eyes widening in anger and frustration.

She refrained from talking but her eyes spoke heights.

Nandini, though was flustered and crimson because of what happened, she disliked his demeanour. He behaved like they committed a sin.

The guy she had reserved her heart for, was acting like he just caught a plague... An incurable plague.

This was not expected not when it was her first kiss with him— the guy she loved.

Nandini struggled to start a conversation. She needed to tell him it happened out of an uncalled event, but she get a chance since he already made himself clear between his deep breaths.

"No, you don't understand." he cut her in the mid-sentence. His voice sounded stiff and clear. "You don't understand, Ms. Maheshwari...
