"Hello... Nandini ma'am?" The man on the other hand of the call spoke.

Nandini blinked her eyes looking at the screen of her laptop as she replied, "Yes, Mr. Mehta, I am listening, Please continue" Last weekend she received a handful of resumes sent by the HR manager from India, Ashish Mehta, for the vacant posts in the San Francisco branch of Maheshwari Enterprises, but she was so tired that she could not check the mails at hand.

But now after she received his call and when her eyes  read his name on the screen of her phone, she eventually recognized what could he the reason behind his call and eventually turned to look at the mails he sent previously.

"Good morning ma'am, I am sorry to disturb you but I wanted to talk about the possibility of hiring some new employees in the San Francisco branch, I recently came across many candidates who has the potential to work on higher posts." There was an unknown ripple in his voice, as if the man was scared. It appeared like he was thinking twice before speaking each and every word on the call.

He frequently took pause and stressed on words unnecessarily. Albiet, the manager wala not to be blamed but the hot CEO sitting in her cabin occupied by his call.

Nandini Maheshwari was strict. She talked only when it was required or when she wanted to utter that particular magical word that was supposed to help her get rid of some 'pain in the ass' kind of employees, fire.

She never smiled, at least not unless it was necessary. She barely went to shopping with friends or occurred in events other than those that were organized by her company. All in all, she was a short tempered boss with all the traits as that of a male dominant boss hence keeping her different from others.

"If possible I would like you to hire three candidates that interviewed the last week, they are highly qualified." Mr. Mehta attempted to explain her.

However it was his bad luck that the cold brunette CEO caught her mere mistake and sternly barked, "There is no place for highly qualified bastards in my company, Mr. Mehta. I don't want clueless toppers who topped their university just by mugging up answers and writing them as it is in the exams." She banged her palm on her files as she one by one read all the resumes he sent her. "I told you, I want employees that work keeping aside their percentages. Employees that can really apply whatever they studied in their exams in day to day life unlike those who do nothing but grab opportunities on the basis of their degrees. Haven't I told you Mr. Mehta. I need employees that would mind their freaking job and not any stupid topper showing off his degrees and flaunting his knowledge."

It was no surprise for her that whatever resumes he sent her belonged to highly qualified toppers and rankers from the best and prestigious colleges and universities. Nandini rather chuckled sarcastically as she read out the names one by one.

"Kelly D'mello, Topper from SNDT College.

Harsh Mishra, MA passed.

Joy Morris, BA Passed.

Benny D'Souza, Ranked fourth in JEE MAIN...

And the other three are just the same— toppers with zero percent experience! This is pathetic." She gasped skipping the last three resumes even before she spared them a glance!

Although she was vexed, the manager yet again attempted. "Uh, But ma'am have you checked the resume of the candidate I sent you on Saturday night for the post of Departmental head? Manik malhotra."

"I checked them all, Mr. Mehta, and I am very disappointed to say, I expected some wise candidate who would work. Who would really work! Are you getting my point?" She gritted her teeth henceforth shutting the poor manager on the other side, completely silent.
