"It's on the house." y/n smiled
You carefully placed a plate of strawberry shortcake down on the table.
You didn't know why but you just gave a strawberry shortcake to a stranger.
He was blonde, tall, with glasses and has a pretty face.
What exactly made you do that?
Did something just occur to you that made you do that?
As you were walking back the counter he turned to you and smiled
"Thank you..." he said softly
You turned around and said
"It's ok, really."
You walked back to the counter and stared at the stranger.
And he started eating his cake peacefully.
He was probably the last customer for the night as it was getting late and your shift was about to end. You had to handle the shift of your coworker because she was in a sick leave, you managed to run the cafe alone.
It was only you and the stranger in the cafe at 9:40pm.
