Chapter 5: Hesitation

3rd Person POV - Chapter suggestion: @LarryAndCakeForLife🌸 (my bestie)

I really do like y/n and we've been texting each other back and forth.

I like it every time she smiles.

When she laughs.

Or when she calls me a lot of weird and cute nicknames

but I pretend to hate it

I think I want to ask her out.

Tsukishima thought to himself.

"Tsukishima, you look awfully quiet." Yachi noticed.

"I need another latte." he stood up and walked to the counter, while Hinata and Y/n walked out of the back door.

Y/n walks back behind the counter.

"Yes? May I help you Tsukki?"

"Ah yes, I was thinking I want to—"

He was about to ask her out when a man bursts out from the door.

"Y/N!"

The man walks right to you behind the counter.

"Uhm sir you're not supposed to be back here."
Hinata said

But the man ignored Hinata.

"What are you doing here?" She slams her notepad on the counter and crosses her arms.

"I still love you y/n." he cups your cheeks.

"I regret cheating on you, ok?"

"Uhm sir it's against the rules to go behind the counter, I might just ask you to leave."

Hinata tries to help you.

"You're right Hinata, I think you should go Mitsuo."

Y/n pushes his hand away from her cheek.

Hinata leads Mitsuo to the door and slams the door when he got out.

You put your hand on your forehead.

"Are you ok, y/n?" Tsukishima got worried and was shocked at the same time.

"I'm fine, what were you saying?"

"Uhm I wanted another latte."

He payed and went back to the table

"Woah what just happened?" Yachi gasped

"Oh I remember him." Yamaguchi frowned

"That was y/n's ex, who didn't treat her right, if I were her I wouldn't even think of getting back with him and I think y/n knows that."

Y/n walks over to the table with Tsukishima's coffee, she placed it to the table gently while she was silent.

Tsukishima was worried but like always, he tried his best not to show it.

"Thanks." Tsukishima said as he picked up his coffee.

"I'll be back guys, me and Hinata will just change because our shift is over." She said as she saw the waitress after her shift came in.

She walks to the back with Hinata.

"Y/n how are you?"

"I'm fine, it's just the memories are rushing back."

Y/n's phone started ringing.

"I'll just take this call outside and you don't have to worry Hinata."

"Ok, I'll just go change." Hinata said

Y/n walked outside while grasping tightly on to her phone.

It was an unknown number but it has a high chance it was her ex because she already blocked him, right after their break up.

She breathed deeply before answering the call.

She slowly clicked the answer button.

"Hello?"

"Y/n please listen to me..."

You immediately knew it was him.

"No Mitsuo." you were about to click the end call

"Wait!"

"Please just talk to me."

"Please, come tomorrow to our usual place."

After some convincing, y/n agreed to meet each other for lunch.

After the call y/n sighed and went back inside and changed to her normal clothes because her shift was over.

Y/n sat down beside Tsukishima with her coffee.

"Y/n what happened? Are you ok?"

"I'm fine, but the jerk asked me to meet him tomorrow."

"And you're going?!" Hinata asked

Y/n nodded with guilt

"Remember what he did to you y/n?" Yamaguchi was concerned

"Yeah, you shouldn't do it y/n." Kageyama said

"Y/n, do you still have feelings for him?" Yachi asked

"I'm not sure."

With your answer Tsukishima was pretty disappointed.

What will happen to the two of you?
