Chapter 25: Dirty cheater

The next morning I wake up with Kai next to me, I turn around looking at him closely, his breathing is so peaceful, "hey," he slowly opens his eyes, "hey, how are you feeling?" I asked him softly, "good," Kai gives me a small smile then he pulls me into his arms, "thank you for playing rubber ducks with me," he said while chuckling, I start laughing in his arms, "you're welcome, I'm happy to play those little ducks with you anytime," I said next to his ear. After we got up from the bed, I went to find Bex since we are having a sleepover tonight, Kai is going to hangout with Kol in the bar tonight.

"Are you going to be alright?" I ask Kai while packing things for tonight, "yea yea, go have fun with Rebekah, I know you miss her," he said playfully, "alright, call me if you need anything, and don't get too drunk with Kol, I am sure he wouldn't play rubber ducks with you," I said then let out a snort, "ok got it ma'am, I will call you when I get home," he gives me a salute, "okay, have fun," I give him a kiss on his lip before I left, "you too babe."

I arrived at Bex's front door, the next second the door is opened revealing a grinning Bex, "hey Bex!" I pull her into a hug, "hey easter bunny," Bex hugs me even tighter, "when did you start calling me easter bunny and where is Marcel?" I said while entering the front door, "it's a cute nickname and I'm sure Kol wouldn't mind me borrowing it from him, Marcel is with Klaus dealing with the vampires, what's new," she gives me a small smile. "What do you wanna do for tonight?" Rebekah said while walking in front of me, "how about getting drunk and roast marshmallows as usual?" I said while giggling, "sure, I will go get the booze, wait here love," then I saw her heading to the mini bar in her new house. "Nice house, when did you get this place?" I said while lying on the couch, "last year, Nik was too much for being a pain in the ass, so I moved out," she said while holding two bottles of Tequila.

"I know, sometimes he can be," I snort a little, "come on let's drink," I said after turning on the TV, "really? It's only 4PM, but whatever," then she opened the bottle and pour us a glass of tequila each, "thanks Bex," I said then start drinking, "so how are you and your lover boy, Kai right?" Rebekah gives me a it's girl time look, "great, he's great, he makes me really happy you know, and do you wanna be my bridesmaid? Since you are the closest sister to me," I give her a wink. "My pleasure! When can we do some dress shopping?" She gives me a little pout, "soon, now tell me about you and Marcel, everything," I said with a small mischievous grin on my face.

Later on when it got dark, we went to the garden and start roasting marshmallows, "he just siphoned up your wound and the venom is gone?" Rebekah said with shock written all over her face, "yep, and Lucien's bite was nasty," I raised me eyebrows then put my marshmallow close to my mouth, "if you guys had came sooner, maybe Cami would still be alive," she let out a small sigh, "what do you mean? Who's Cami?" I look at her with more serious expression on my face this time, "her name was Camille, Klaus really liked her, but Lucien bit her, and we didn't find a cure soon enough to save her," she said while looking into the fire pit. "I'm sorry, he got locked up in Damon's mom's prison world after Bonnie drove a dagger through me heart," I said in a low voice. "What? They did that to you?"

Then I spent 20 minutes filling her in with what happened, a hatred look appears on her face, "they do have a history of stabbing people in the back, especially that little annoying doppelgänger Elena, every time I see her I just wanna rip her little head off," she said while gritting her teeth, "well, let's not letting them ruin our night, they are not worth it," I give her a small smile, later she is back in her happy mood.

We went back inside and starts a film marathon, I rested my head on her shoulder like when we were young, I remember when Mikael used to tell us stories when we were young, I would rest my head on Bex's shoulder while sitting next to the fire. I let out a small yawn then reached for my phone, '1AM already, and Kai hasn't called me or texted me, weird, but probably he's having too much fun with Kol,' I thought to myself, "is everything alright?" Rebekah said next to me, "yea don't worry," I look up and give her a small smile, "let me see your ring again," she pat my thigh with excitement, I put up my hand and I can see the sparkles in her eyes, "are you planning to get marry with Marcel after you take the cure?" I sit up a little looking at her, "I'm not exactly sure yet. You know, our family has dramas all the time," she said with a small chuckle, "yea but I want you to be happy Bex, god knows how much you deserve it," I said softly.
