Chapter 38: New beginning

"The curse that plagued our family for seven years has taken its toll on all of us, on our city, on our home, on our family, the consequences of us being together were grave, but today, thanks to you, we celebrate a new beginning," Klaus said nonchalantly then turned to Hope who is sitting at the opposite of me right now, "one in which we have the freedom to stand side by side and whatever trials may come, we may face them together, as a family, always and forever," then he raised his glass, followed by the rest of us.

Kai and I were planning a little getaway, but then Nik called saying Elijah has got his memories back, poor lad, so we decided to post pone the trip, and now here we are, eating breakfast like a normal family.

"Would you please pass the beignets?" Hope asks Kai politely, "of course," Kai said after swallowing a raspberry. "So Rebekah will be back in a few days, she's just typing up some loose ends overseas," Klaus said cheerfully, "it'll be nice to have her here," she said with a small smile to her dad, "it'll be good to have all of us under one roof again," Freya said lightly. Klaus's smile dropped the second he saw Elijah stepped in, we all gulped, waiting for Hope's reaction.

Hope turns her head around towards the direction of his footstep, "good morning," Elijah said quietly, Hope was about to say something but she didn't, she turns her head back to us, "obviously, there's a lot for us to discuss, Hope let me begin by telling you how truly sorry—" "Thanks for breakfast, guys, but I have homework to catch up on," she said after using her magic to bend her fork. "That's not normal, she's not normal," Klaus said after seeing her bend to half fork, "she lost her mother, Niklaus, I shouldn't have come down here, " Elijah said after he went to Hope's seat.

Later on Nik and Freya got into another fight, Kai and I went back to our own place as soon as we could.

"Kai stop it!" I start giggling as he suddenly hugs me from the behind while tickling me, "it's itchy and painful," I said during my laughters, "yea that's the point," I can feel his hot breath hitting my earlobe, "ok what did I do this time?" I turn around while panting after he stopped tickling me, Kai throws me on the couch and towers over me again, "stop pretending you don't know what's going on," he brushes his nose against mine, "ok should I start with you were teasing me under the table with your leg or should I start with you were teasing me during the car ride back home by touching my dick by accidents?" Kai looks at me with confusion, "what is it? The next second, I'm on our bed, tied up, "god, I hate wizards," I cursed under my breath, "wizards? Are we in Harry Potter now?" He said while walking into the bedroom, "you watched them?" I lift my head up seeing him already took his shirt off, I gulped at the sight of him walking to me slowly only wearing his black jeans, "only the first one," he said casually, "ok, we can watch the rest, now untie me," I said after trying to wiggle my wrists but the rope only got tighter.
