It has been almost a week. You have been anxious to take the test but you have wanted to. There you sit, in the bathtub, looking at the tests. You have done that a few times this week but not as long as you have been today. You have been sitting in the bathtub stressing over the tests for almost an hour now. You heard a knock on the bathroom door.

"Y/n? Can I come in?" you hear Clay ask.

"Yeah," you said remaining with your vision on the unopened box. Clay walks in and sees you and sits on the side of the tub.

"Nervous?" he asked. You nodded and kept silent. He grabs your hand with both his, kneeling at the side of the bathtub resting his elbows. He kisses your hand. "It's going to be okay. We see the results and if its positive, we consider the options but if it is negative, we move on. Are you ready to handle that commitment if we have to raise the baby?" he asks.

"I don't know. I really didn't think I would be pregnant within the next years," you say. Your birthday was coming up and you were almost 21 but if you had the baby, you would not be able to drink which you were sad about but it didn't matter. You wanted to see if you were going to be carrying a baby around for 9 months or carry your own weight.

Clay stands up, still holding your hand and pulls you up to stand. When you stand he lets go of your hand and grabs the unopened box and starts to open the 3 tests one by one. He leaves the room quickly and gets you his water bottle and tells you to drink it. You were pretty hesitant but did what he said. He left the room when he was done unpackaging the tests and told you everything would be okay. You sit on the toilet for a minute and start to pee on the first test, your stomach turning. When you were done, you cleaned up and flushed the toilet before washing your hands and setting the test face down on the counter. You walk to the door and open it to show Clay you are done and walk and sit on the floor waiting for the test to process.

Clay sits next to you as you lean against the bathtub. His arm was around your shoulders and he was holding your hands with his other free hand. He set a quick 3 minute timer and you both waited silently getting more anxious by the minute. When the timer goes off your stomach turned. You knew this could be one of the hardest things you would have to see in your life. You cautiously stand up, shaking lightly. You stand in front of the test for a minute, shaking and anxious. Clay let you take your time.

You reach your hand up, hovering it over the test for a second before picking it up. You keep the test facing down in your hand for a minute before flipping it over and looking at how your would tell if you were pregnant or not.

| | Pregnant

| Not pregnant

It was simple. You take a minute to look in the middle and see two blue lines. You were pregnant. You back up a bit, still in shock. You hit the bathroom wall and sink to the floor. Clay takes a minute but he soon stands and walks over to your side. He sits next to you and the test was out of his sight. He reaches his hand out, palm up asking you to put the test in his hand which you did after a moment. It takes him a minute but he looks at it. He looks back at you who were almost in tears. He wraps his arms around you and hugs you tightly. His head was resting on yours. Tears start to run down your face. You were confused about what you wanted to do.

"Hey, how about you take the other tests. Make sure his one was right," he says getting up and grabbing the electronic one that was said to have more accurate results. He pulls you up and puts it in your hand. He gets you some more water that you drink and leaves the room once more. You do the same thing as before, placing the test upside down on the counter and calling Clay in. We sit until we hear the timer go off. This test was the one that just said "pregnant" or "not pregnant". You were less hesitant when picking up the test and looking at it.
