Chapter two - Arriving at Riverdale

Your POV
I had my head on the window of the car looking at the road and trees outside going by.

Then we stopped I looked up and saw the giant gates of thorn hill. They slowly opened letting us in. We slowly drove along the driveway to the house. We reached the end of the driveway by the doors. I looked out the window and saw Cheryl, Aunt Penelope, and uncle Clifford. All standing outside waiting for me.

I stepped out of the car and shut the door. Dave got out and got my stuff. I walked up to them. First greeting Clifford, then hugging Penelope, then I went to Cheryl I didn't even get a chance to say hi she just lunged at me and tightly hugged me. I hugged her back. "I've missed you cousin" she says "I've missed you too" I say to her.

I was lead into thorn hill. Dave left my luggage In the entrance of the house then left. "Your room is upstairs close to Cheryl's" Penelope says to me "ok thanks" I say "Cheryl help her with her bags" her dad says to her. She nods and grabs my bigger suitcase and I grab my smaller one. Cheryl and I head to the stairs. Penelope put a hand on my arm "we are so glad that your are here" she says "I'm glad I'm here too" I say and smile at her. Then I head upstairs.

Cheryl lead me too my room. She stops at a door in the long hallway and opens it then sets my bags by the door. "This is one of the guest rooms but feel free to make it to your liking" Cheryl says walking around the room.

The room was very fancy. "My room is the door to the left and the room across from you is Jason's" she says "ok thanks" I say "ok I'll leave you for a moment now to get settled In dinner will be in about an hour" she says "ok thank you Cheryl" "anytime" she says then leaves the room.

I sigh and look around the room it had a walk in closet and a bathroom. I got my suitcase open and started unpacking. After awhile I heard a knock on the door frame. I turn and see Clifford along with Penelope. "Oh hi" I say and walk towards the door "mind if we sit and talk" he says "no not a problem" I say. There was a red velvet couch in front of my bed by the big window.

They sat on the couch and I sat on the end of the bed. "Well first off welcome to riverdale" Penelope says "thanks, mom told me I'd like it here." I say awkwardly. I hadn't ever been close to my aunt and uncle. I only ever agreed to come here to see the twins since they were the same age as me and we got along well.

"I think you'll love it here" she says "so as you know you will be attending high school here in Riverdale with Cheryl" Clifford says "yes I figured that" I say nodding "so you will be attending Riverdale high it a very nice school" Clifford says I nodded and thought about it. After they told me about Riverdale and the stuff that was there and then explained the house and where everything was like the kitchen and living room.

It was finally dinner. Penelope sat at the end of the long table and Clifford was on the other side. I was thinking about Jason it was weird not having him here we weren't close or anything but we had seen and talked to each other many of times considering we were cousins. I was closer to Cheryl

Jason had been gone for about 2 almost three weeks. Clifford didn't want to call right away just in case he came back. I gues they hoped he had somehow made it out of the river.but he didn't.

Cheryl and I sat next to each other on one side of the table. Dinner was on the table they were having chicken as a main course then other side dishes. We were eating and talking about stuff. Clifford and Penelope where both discussion goes the business.

"Oh (y/n) you will get to join us in the maple tree tapping ceremony this year" Penelope says "oh that's sounds nice" I say. I never attended one of the ceremony's before but I knew what they were. We finished dinner I offered to help clean up but Penelope said it was fine and let cheryl and I go to our rooms.
