Chapter six - The music room

Your POV
Jason's body would have an autopsy preformed on it soon. I couldn't stand being in that house anymore. I tried being out in town as much as I could. I saw my aunt and uncles true colors. The way they treated and talked to Cheryl sometimes wasn't the nicest but I couldn't do anything about it.

I was in the hallways talking with jughead by my locker when the PA system turned on and principal weatherbee started talking. "Good morning students it's your principal speaking. There have been many inquiries about the upcoming pep rally. So let me state clearly, it is happening as scheduled. Now on a less felicitous note, I'd you could please give your attention to sheriff Keller." Then the sheriff started talking "most of you already know the details, but your classmate Jason Blossom's body was found late Saturday night. So as of the weekend, Jason's death is being treated as a homicide. It is an open and on going investigation." Suddenly Keller was cut off by Cheryl "and may i interject, neither I nor my parents will rest until Jason's death is avenged and his cold-hearted killer is walking the green mile to sit in old sparky to fry. I, for one, have my suspicions. Hashtag Riverdale strong" she says then it goes back to Keller.

I look at jughead and roll my eyes at Cheryl's little comments. "I don't want to listen to this anymore" I say but jughead wasn't paying attention he was looking at Archie. "Hey got a crush or something?" I joke "shh no now come on" jughead says motioning for me to follow him. I look at him confused but follow anyways.

We follow Archie to the water fountain where he's splashing his face with water "Archie" jughead says Archie looks up from the fountain "weirdest thing this summer, we were supposed to go on a road trip over July 4th weekend... which you bailed on at the last minute is there something you want to tell me pal?" Jughead says they stared at each other for a moment. My eyes winded and my mouth slightly dropped open. "No" Archie says then rushes away.

I walk into class and and sit down next to Cheryl at the table. "How's your day been so far?" I ask "fine" she says. I looked up and noticed her two little minions standing in front of us watching "shoo off you go" I say to them. The turn a walk away. Our teacher came bursting in. "Alright everyone pair up" he says. "I'll take Betty" Veronica shouts "actually.." Betty started "I'll take Kevin" moose chimes in "I'll be with Cheryl" Archie  says. I glared at Archie I wanted to be partners with Cheryl today but what ever. It stand up and walk over to jughead where he was sitting alone. "Hey want to be partners?" I ask "sure" he says.

Today we are dissecting frogs. "Why do we have to do this it's weird" I say putting on my gloves. Jughead sighs "for science" he says with some fake enthusiasm says then he picked up a blade. "Because my brother is most likely also being cut open at this very moment, no I'm just fine" I hear Cheryl say. I turn to her and watch her and she stabs down into the frog. "Oh my" I mumble under my breath "she's losing it" jughead says "yep" I agree.

I was walking the halls at lunch to try and clear my mind. "Hey Blossom" jughead says from behind me "oh hey jughead" I say "how you holding up?" He asks "ok I guess I just can't process the whole Jason thing" I say with a sigh. Jughead gives me a hug real quick. "Thanks I needed that" i say.

But once again he wasn't paying attention all the sudden. "Hey Jones earth to jughead" I say snapping "Archie just went into the music room his music classes are in the morning" jughead says staring at the band room door. "Maybe he left something in there" I suggest. But instead of just leaving it jughead went up to the window on the door and looked in. His face dropped.

"What? What's he doing?" I ask "look" he whispers. I peek into the window and see Archie and miss Grundy very close almost kissing. I gasp a little then look away. "What the hell." Jughead mutters to  himself "maybe he's just sad about the Jason thing and she's just trying to be nice" i say to him.

"I love your positive attitude and  giving excuses for Archie Y/n but I don't think that's what's really going on" jughead whispers to me "I know but this is riverdale it's a small town stuff like this isn't supposed to happen. Jason's murder shouldn't have even happened" I whisper back "well Y/n I guess Riverdale is changing now"

Sorry for the short chapter again. I'll try to make the next few much longer than the last two but anyways thanks for reading :)
