Chapter three - The assembly

Your POV

Summer is now officially over. Tomorrow is my first day of school with Cheryl. I haven't left thron hill alot in the last few days. We've been to the school to sign me up for school. Today I decided to go out and eat by myself. Well not eat in at Pop's I would be getting take you out. My car had been towed here.

I stepped out of my shiny car. I walked into pop's. a girl with raven colored hair held the door open for me as she left the diner "thanks" I say to her the enter the building. I set my purse on the counter and get my wallet out. "Hello y/n" pop says "oh hey pop I need to place an order for take out" I say

"ok what would you like" he asks pulling out a pen and a pad of paper. "I just want a burger with a side of fries oh and a cherry cola" I say "ok that will be out in a few moments" Pop says and heads back to the kitchen. I nod then look around.

A blonde girl and a red headed boy were staring at me. The red head guy waved for me to come over. I sigh pick up my purse and walk over to their booth. "Hello" I say politely "hey, are you new here too" he asks "yep" I say "well I'm Archie and this is Betty" he says looking at the blonde girl

"nice to meet you I'm Y/n Blossom" I say "another Blossom?" Betty says "yep, my cousins are Cheryl and Jason Blossom" I say "oh" Betty says looking down at her shake "oh Im sorry for your loss" Archie says

"oh thanks I wasn't super close to him or anything" I say "so did you move here with your parents?" Betty asks "no actualy I'm here staying with my aunt and uncle, Clifford and Penelope, Cheryl needed someone to be with her so they asked me to stay with them for awhile" I explained

"oh cool" Archie says. "Yeah, she's just been so..." i trailed off trying to think of how to word it. "Weird?" Betty asked. "Yeah I guess. I mean I understand they were close and all but I never imagined she'd actually want me to come stay with her for the school year" I say while shaking my head.

"Well, it's very nice of you to do that for her" Betty said smiling. I noticed my food now waiting on the counter. "Well, it was very nice to meet you two. I'll let you guys get back to your date" I said

"We're, not on a date" Archie laughed. "Oh I'm sorry it just seemed- Anways I'll see you two at school I guess" I said. "Yeah see you there" Betty nodded. I waved to the two.l of them as I walked away.

I walk over to the counter and sat on one of the stools. I saw pop "you know what pop I'll eat here" I say "no problem" he says. I sit at the counter and scroll through my phone looking at my friends post about back to school.

That's the only thing I missed. I missed my friends. I'd miss the usual stuff like my old teachers, the familiar faces, stuff like that. But I think I'll be ok here in Riverdale.

I took my food out of the bag. Pop'Tate had brought me a plate since I decided to eat in.

"Hey mind if I join you" a voice says from behind me. I turn the stool and see jughead standing behind me with his laptop. "Go ahead" I tell him. He sits down on the stool next to me. He gets his laptop and opens it up. "Want anything I can add it to my bill" I ask

"no that's ok" he tells me but then he pauses and thinks for a moment. "Actually a coffee would be nice" he says.

I nod and wave Pop'tate over. I ask pop for a cup of coffee and gave him money for it. Pop poured a cup of coffee and slid it to jughead.

Jughead was typing away on his laptop. "What are you writing?" I ask "just some random stuff" he mumbled "oh cool" I say he nodded and took a drink of his coffee

"actually in 8th grade I wrote a cheesy murder mystery book" I say randomly "really?" He asks and glances at me.

"yeah i thought it would be cool since I loved reading all that stuff so I decided one day that I would write one"
