Chapter 12~ Quartzite's Last Stand! Remember Who You Are!

"What's the meaning of this?! Let me go!" Quartzite exclaimed. "I'm afraid we can't do that." Crystal stated. "I see what you're trying to do. You're going to try and defeat me. But I'm afraid that I'm not going to go down that easily." Quartzite grabbed ahold of the Crystal Light and used her dark magic with it to enhance herself. "Bring it on, Pretty Cure!" "We sure will! We'll retrieve the Crystal Light and purify you once and for all! Let's go, girls!"

And so the battle between Quartzite and the cures began. Ruby made the first move and charged at her, but to her surprise, she dodged her charge. "What?!" "Let me try!" said Hazel. Hazel tried her luck next and tried to sneak up on her, but dodged again. "Seriously?!" Misty flew up in the air to try and attack her from above, but she dodged again and she ended up hitting the ground hard. "Misty! Are you okay?!" Hazel exclaimed. "I'm okay, Hazel!" She got back up and kept at it.

"We're not getting anywhere without a strategy." Crystal sighed. "Guys, we need to work together if we want any chance of beating her!" "It's no use! I enhanced my powers using your precious Crystal Light! I'm unstoppable now!" Quartzite boasted. "We'll see about that!" Hazel ran up to her, but was knocked down again. "Hazel! You're being too reckless!" Misty said as she helped her up. "But we've just got to stop her and bring her back!" "I know and we will! We just have to work together, cause four heads are better than one!" Crystal comforted.

And so the cures joined together to fight Quartzite. After a long fight, the cures were extremely weakened and the Quartzite was still standing. "Man, you guys sure are stubborn! What did I tell you? I'm unstoppable and there's nothing you can do to defeat me!" "Quartzite! Don't you understand? This isn't who you really are!" Crystal exclaimed. "Wh...what are you talking about?! This is who I really am!" "That's where you're wrong! You're not a member of the Dark Crystals. You've been brainwashed by Moonstone to become so!"

"This is crazy talk! All this is crazy talk!" "It's not though!" Ruby stepped in. "Crystal's right! This isn't the real you!" "You just need to remember!" Hazel added. Quartzite stopped for a moment. Now that she thought of it, she doesn't remember anything about her life before all this. She quickly snapped out of it though. "I am not listening to you birdbrains!" "Well, you're going to have to. Cause we're not going to stop until you remember." Crystal walked towards Quartzite, but she pushed her away.

"Please just listen to us. I really don't want to have to use force to get you to remember. You are not who you think you are. To get straight to the point, you are the daughter of Queen Rose Quartz and the future heir to the Crystalline Kingdom." Quartzite's eyes widened upon hearing that. Within just a few seconds, she began to have a small flashbacks. She remembered it, but she didn't want to. She didn't want to believe it was truth. "This...isn't true! Lies....these are all lies!" She yelled. "You're just trying to manipulate me!"

"No I'm not! I'm seriously not lying! I'm telling the truth!" Crystal exclaimed. "LIES LIES LIES LIES!!" "She's not listening to me." Crystal sighed. "SIS!" Quartzite immediately stopped yelling and turned to see a little girl. The cures didn't know who she was, but Quartzite certainly did. It was Pearl, her little sister. "Please stop yelling!" She couldn't say anything. She just stared in shock, but she slowly felt tears come out of her eyes. "N...no way..." she murmured.

"Crystal! Now's your chance!" "What do you mean?" "To purify Quartzite! None of your normal attacks will do the job, but I know what can! The Crystal Lights can also be used to purify and heal. So you can use the Crystal Light we already retrieved to enhance your magic and purify Quartzite!" "Okay, got it!"

Attack Sequence
Natsu tapped the locket at her chest, to summon her baton. "Sparkle Star Baton!" She summoned the Pink Crystal Light of love and used it on her baton. "May the light of love return your true self! Pretty Cure! Sparkling Light Purification!" She threw her baton at Quartzite, trapping her in a pink loop. "Everything will be okay. Please come back to us, Quartzite!" The last thing she saw before being purified was the smiling face of Crystal. "I'm sparkling...."

Natsu de-transformed in exhaustion and fell onto the floor. "You okay, Natsu?" Akari said as she and the others walked over to her. "Yeah, I'm fine." "What on Earth just happened there?" Momoka asked. "Look straight ahead and you'll find your answer." Aika replied. They looked in her direction and saw a black haired girl laying on the floor, unconscious.
