°THREE🌠

DIANE stepped out of her room already dressed in a black off the shoulder button down dress and brown sandals which were giving laid off and brunch meeting as she head out for a photo shoot with her half Sister stroke best friend. A black zip bag holding a white dress, a jean and a white tee her sister would be wearing for the shoot in her right hand along with a small black bag that held the accessories that she had picked out to match the clothes while she held her phone with her left hand informing her sister she was on the way to the address she had sent yesterday.

Derin didn't want the rest of the family to know she was having a baby bump shoot because she knew they would ask to be in the shoot which she didn't want so she had to keep it a secret reason why she was up early than usual silently leaving the house. She only invited Diane because she would be styling her from dress to accessories and giving a helping hand since her husband will just pop in and out of the shoot.

Silently can be an understatement in the Macaulay mansion where there is a lot of staff always up before the cock crew already working. Her maid had already come to the room to clean the room since it was a Saturday and they will be let off work early to resume on Monday. Diane was still pressing her phone as she walked down the long fleet of stairs in the mansion when her annoying older half-brother Folu grabbed her phone and ran off.

"Folu!" She screamed at top of her voice as she hoped she wasn't caught chatting with Derin about the shoot so she crossed with him for grabbing her phone and being the annoying older brother he is.

Folu doesn't get far because Mrs Fola Macaulay, Mr Remi Macaulay's first wife and only legally married wife, stops her immature son from getting away as she pulled him back squeezing his black round neck in the process. He stays put after struggling and doesn't get his way.

"Give her back." Folu turned to Diane and sticks out his tongue like a child as he handed her phone to her.

"Thank you Mummy." Diane said giving Folu the stink eye.

"Bawo night e?" (How was your night) Mrs Fola Macaulay asked as Diane was about to make it for the door.

"Fine Mummy."

"You have a job early this morning?" She asked and it was starting to piss Diane off. She liked the concern and question attention she got from Mrs Fola Macaulay since Diane's mother and Mr Remi's concubine Avala Richard died from breast cancer but it was hard to erase the picture of a concubine as her mother who had made her believe the Macaulay's we're the worst set of human beings.

Mrs Fola even Mr Remi who had taken her in when she was Nine having learned he had a daughter somewhere tried to help her see they weren't the worst set of human beings. She might love them but get too attached to them was a problem because she expected the worst from them as she was not a Folarewa's blood daughter.

Diane smiled and replied Mrs Folarewa. "Yes Mummy." Calling her Mummy had first was to respect the eldest wife in the house and then as time went Mrs Folarewa had to be more of a mother figure than Diane's actual mother but at the back of her head Miss Avala Richards words rang reminding her of the family she belonged to.

"Without eating breakfast?" Foluyemi opened his mouth and Diane wished he never did because Mrs Fola decided then to coax the subject on Diane.

"Mummy I am running late." She lied because she didn't want to sit at the dining table and pretend she was happy to be part of the small family.

"At least waffles and tea won't hurt." Folu said and got a spank on the back from Mrs Fola and Diane's eyes danced with joy at her action.

"Eat little and go." Mrs Fola pleaded and that forced Diane to sit and eat two waffles and one bacon with hot Lipton tea.
