WHY she was ignoring him he could not understand, maybe he understood for a while but he didn't like it anymore and it was funny. He never thought he would have fun with, her just seeing her was fun enough for him.
The last days before his trip ended had been boring, no Diane and all the adventures he had planned had been packed into four days because he wanted to send her away but she hasn't pushed away which he liked that she didn't oblige to his obvious pushing.
So must days since she began to ignore him either sitting on the beach or in her room he had been doing boring stuff with some group of tourists who thought they were funny with their silly jokes and most of the time he was thinking about Diane and how she would crack a joke better than them.
Tomide walked out of his hotel room practising his words. He paced up and down, from both doors right next to him thinking and practising the best words to say to invite Diane out.
"Will you... Nahh." He moved again and stopped "I have two tickets to... Oh boy, me sef won't go." He shook his head. Paced around for a while before stopping in front of her door. "Hey I know you've been ignoring me but I.." Before he could finish his sentence the door opened. Diane was standing by the door wearing a short blue gown and her curly wig full of small makeup.
"Ohh... Sorry, I thought it was delivery." She noticed he looked worked up and was already about to speak before he jumped to talk
"I have two tickets..." That's all he could say as he stretched the tickets out.
"Are you inviting me to out?" She said looking at the tickets.
"No... I mean yes there's an amusement park I thought we could go to." He smiled trying to get all the awkwardness away.
"Hmmn. I am up for it. Let me pack my tripod and I will meet you down." She turned to leave but stopped. "Hope you won't trick me into going somewhere I would embarrass myself."
He chuckled "No."
She giggled and closed her door just as he noticed her camera set up. Whatever she was doing she was having fun since she agreed in a heartbeat.
They first stopped at Robben Island since they still had a small time before walking around the green park where they had lunch. The tourist showed them everywhere and Tomide took a lot of pictures, especially of Diane, mostly unaware that she looked cute to everyone. The drive to the amusement park didn't take time and the short trip was interesting, they sang and talked about funny illustrations of the South Africans they had met.
The park was half of Winter Wonderland and was incredibly different from how it was portrayed online while he searched. They walked into the park exclaiming, that there were a lot of people roaming about or screaming, the park was lively and just seeing it made both of them happy. Diane was the first to bounce toward a ride which she was very excited to get on because she had stayed in line and let Tomide get their ticket, she had gotten to the point where she would show her ticket with nothing with her, slightly embarrassed she was about to move when Tomide jumped to hand over the ticket.
Tomide was scared as they started to move on the roller coaster but with a glance at Diane, his fear turned to amusement. He knew why he always wanted to see her, she made him excited about anything, her happiness made him happy and he found it interesting. They went on other rides and ate cotton candy as she got on the horse ride where he took out his camera to snap her. His memory was already filled with pictures of Diane and he didn't hate it, he wanted more of her happy face on his camera.
