Takahashi Ayaka. It was the full Japanese name that was signed with the fiancé Ootori Kyouya by law and approved by the strict father who finally acknowledged his son's love of his life. Through thick or thin, they said.

It wasn't a huge ceremony per se, more of a legal one instead of a romantic one. Kyouya wanted her to be free from her dreaded situation, unironically saving her and securing his position as the fiancé, above anyone else in her life.

"I'm proud of you, Kyouya. It took me a long time to finally said it, but I hope you will succeed in your private life and more importantly, the Ootori Group." Yoshio muttered, as they were having a family dinner right after the engagement.

"Thank you, father. I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart." Kyouya smiled, feeling grateful for once in front of his family members. He looked at the goddess type and noticed the engagement ring that she was wearing, neatly wrapped around her finger.

"Ah, my little brother has really grown up, now engaged. Sooner or later, married and finally have children of his own. How sweet." His elder sister giggled, happily sipping her tea while giving the look at the violet haired sister in-law.

Ayaka smiled back, not really having the urge to correct the children part. She was unsure of how things would be, if they could even be good parents in the future or the otherwise.

Kyouya entertained the conversation of course, as he told his sister that he would take full responsibility if 'accidents' happened during the one year engagement period. It was then the goddess type moved closer to him and whispered,

"Is it just me or the air conditioning is way too extreme tonight?"

He raised an eyebrow.

"Are you coming down with something, love?"

"It's nothing. Maybe because I'm wearing a dress. It's cold." She immediately shook her head and sighed. Deep down she knew he would be extra worried if she informed him of how sick she felt. It was subtle, yet the cold seem to be bothering her a bit.

"Hmm." Kyouya stared at her questioningly before continuing his meal.

A couple of days later in Ouran Academy, news about them being engaged spread like wildfire. The Ootori son finally settled and so did Aphrodite, whom at first preferred things to remain in private. The host club threw a small party for the Shadow King because of Tamaki, who wanted to exhaust all club savings to celebrate his best friend. Kyouya finally snapped, after entertaining his host comrades and a couple of customers.

"Tamaki, where the hell did all the club savings go-" The Shadow King glared at the culprit who was hiding at the corner in cowardice.

"B-but this is a special occassion okay Kyouya??? It is your engagement party after all!! Let's have fun shall we??" Tamaki persuaded with puppy dog eyes.

"I didn't ask for a party you dumbass." Kyouya shook his head and sighed. "But fine, I'll let it slide because of how thoughtful you are."

"Now you're talking!!" Tamaki immediately cheered up and hugged his best friend. Kyouya groaned, but with a small smile on his face.

"He almost wanted to kill you there, Tamaki. I saw it with my own eyes." Ayaka pointed and laughed. Suddenly she felt a tap on her shoulder.

"I brought you some commoner confectionery you would like. Congratulations on the engagement with Kyouya-senpai." Haruhi smiled, knowing her best friend would love commoner desserts the most compared to the rest of the club.

"Thank you Haruhi, I love you so much." She sobbed and hugged the host. Haruhi returned the hug and said the same.

"I brought looots of cake for you today Ayaka-chan! Eat with me and play with Usa-chan next!" Hani-senpai cheered as he looked at the violet haired girl with hopeful eyes.
