It's been a while since I've updated. The soundtrack for this chapter is Love Is So Hard - The Millennial Club. Beware of major angst in this chapter. Enjoy reading hshshs
It's been roughly a year ever since they got together. The host club knows about their relationship, meanwhile publicly not so much. Kyouya is the type to keep things private, working in the shadows while keeping the constant influx of customers under his watch. Aphrodite seems to be pleased in that sense, after all she didn't want Kyouya to receive any criticism from his loyal customers for dating. To her, it's a mutual agreement. She didn't want her clients to know she's dating a certain Ootori son as well.
In the end, it all comes back to business. Aphrodite went back at her home, showered and sat in front of the mirror before she saw her phone was blaring due to a call.
"I think we need to talk." Kyouya spoke with urgency over the phone. The purple haired girl stood silent for a while before responding.
"I'm all ears."
"Aphrodite, I'd like to introduce you to my family in a more intimate way. I know you've met some of my siblings before but as of parents, not that much I presume?"
"....."
The girl fell silent over the phone. Kyouya stopped writing in his notebook and sighed.
"My dearest, I will give you time to think about this. I don't want to rush into things as I know your current state-"
"You know what, Kyouya? You keep saying that you don't want to take things too fast but you're always doing the exact opposite." Aphe blurted out.
It was his turn to be quiet.
Kyouya gritted his teeth before closing his eyes, leaning his head against the office chair.
Loss of words, again.
He heard a small voice on the receiver. It sounded like a child. The girl was giggling back at him, as if mocking his earlier suggestion of a family dinner. Kyouya knew it was another alter.
"You can't get us. We will never be yours."
He hung up immediately and felt shivers running down his spine. As much as he has his own baggage and BPD tendencies, Kyouya could not fathom yet how her illness always seems to be so much worse. The purple haired girl is erratic. She drives him crazy as much as he loves to drive her up the wall and kiss her like there's no tomorrow. The Ootori boy shook his head, trying to ward off nonsensical thoughts.
Meanwhile, the purple haired girl took a long shower and contemplated on going out with Haruhi, just to clear her mind. But the goddess type had been sick. Her mental condition hasn't been better, and Dr Alex is starting to suspect something is up with her and Kyouya. He finally told her to stop seeing the Ootori boy. Aphe retorted by saying she still loves him.
The weekend arrived and Kyouya was surprised to see a purple haired girl, dressed neatly in a white long sleeved blouse and black bell bottom pants in the living room, casually talking to his older sister. She was wearing a decent clothing, albeit modest. He stared at her from head to toe, trying to fathom the purpose and wondering if it's appropriate for him to interrupt their conversation.
"Kyouya, she will be joining us for dinner soon. I'm proud to see that you guys are irrevocably in love with each other. Too bad you didn't inform me earlier." Fuyumi spoke happily.
Kyouya closed his eyes for second and smiled. Little did she know, they haven't been talking to each other for a while. Not intimately per se. Just business in the host club and classmates during school hours. He was mildly surprised that she would show up to the family dinner, but alas, Kyouya decided to put up his best act and introduced her to his family.
