"Arrangements have been made, you can move in immediately and I'll show you your room." Kyouya casually spoke over the line, holding a pen while writing on a piece of paper as he was sitting at his desk.
"Although, I do believe you won't be inside your room that much." He teased.
The purple haired girl sighed heavily.
"This is not the time to talk about that."
She heard a low chuckle over the phone and shook her head. Nevertheless after the chat, Aphrodite packed her stuff and left a note in her room about her absence, just in case. What happened yesterday had been something she couldn't cope on her own. Her relationship with the Dr has changed, as well as her own family. The 17 years old girl needed some time to think. (A/N: Yes, she aged up. It's been that long since the prologue)
All of a sudden, a thought came to mind as she sat in the Ootori limousine.
"You cannot heal in the same environment that broke you into pieces."
Now it's either her own family or the Ootori mansion has the power to make or break her. The girl crossed her arms, feeling slightly anxious at the thought. She knew she couldn't deny Kyouya's immaculate planning, who knows Aphe/Ayaka would end up marrying him and moving there forever. Nothing in her life would go as planned at this point. The thought of marriage and the flashbacks that came with it is traumatizing. She remembered Alice, who committed suicide because of it. Chills ran down her spine and slight sadness started to creep in again.
Aphrodite was greeted with Kyouya's sister at the door and they hugged each other in a friendly manner. It seems Fuyumi has been anticipating the girl, ever since Kyouya informed her about everything.
"I've been anticipating you. Make yourself at home, Ayaka." The older sister spoke nicely. Aphe nodded and smiled.
The family members had taken a liking to her japanese name, hence they prefer to call her Ayaka instead. Aphrodite went along with it, even though to her, Ayaka could be a completely different person. Soon enough, she met up with Kyouya upstairs and he showed her the new guest room.
"My room is right in front of yours. That's quite close." Aphe commented.
"Beggars can't be choosers." Kyouya replied sarcastically. She sighed and put aside her luggage.
"I'm tired. I'd like to rest for a while, love." The girl spoke as she lay down on her bed with her arms stretched above her head. She closed her eyes.
Kyouya stared at her figure sprawled across the bed. Slowly he moved towards her, pressed his knees on the bed and went on top of her.
"What's up?" Aphe questioned nonchalantly. She stared at his face that seemed to be very close in proximity.
He looked at her with a profound gaze.
"I can't wait for the night to come."
The girlfriend reached for his back and immediately hugged the Ootori boy in her arms.
"I love you, Kyouya."
"I love you too, my dearest Aphrodite, Ayaka and all of you."
There are times when Kyouya noticed his lover would talk to herself, most probably talking to the other personalities, the alters. He felt that it was an interesting phenomena, somehow a good input in his own investigation about her. Her behavior could change drastically, but most of the alters weren't hostile to him. But it was clear as day to him that she isn't well.
Sometimes she would cry alone in her room for unknown reasons even if Kyouya was around. He tried to figure it out but she wouldn't answer. He would ask the maids to bring her a glass of water and sleeping pills to help her calm down. At the back of his mind, perhaps this is also the reason why someone like her needs Dr Alex. It dawned on him; the fact that only Dr Alex knew what to do with her condition.
