Denki tossed and turned. He was shivering from his drop in body temperature but at the same time, he was sweating from his increase in body temperature from the heat outside. As he sniffed, he ended up coughing as a response. once again he felt movement from the bed beneath him. Denki started to whimper from the nightmare that he was having and didn't realise that he was crying, until, he thought he heard, Shinso talking below him.
"Denki? Denki are you alright?" Shinso asked. When he didn't get the response he was hoping for, he slid out of bed and climbed the ladder so that he could see the other boy's face.
"Denki?"
Denki just whimpered more and curled in on himself, but rolled over so that he could see the purplette with his, now open, eyes.
"Hey... What's wrong?" Shinso asked as he met the blonde's gaze.
"I-I d-don't f-eel ve-ry we-ll. *cough cough*" Denki replied with a throaty cough.
"You might just have caught a small sniffle from when you electrified the water."
"You think...?"
"It's most likely."
"Shinso?"
"Yeah?"
"I can't sleep..."
"Do you wanna sleep with me?"
Denki nodded. So, Shinso climbed down and stood back as Denki made his own decent. Shinso allowed the other boy to climb into bed first, before climbing in after and creating a barrier with his own body.
They laid in bed together and Shinso stayed awake until Denki fell asleep. To try and keep his thoughts steady, Shinso stroked his thumb over Denki's flushed cheek, while listening to his breathing. When Denki shuffled further into Shinso's chest, he stiffened, praying that his beating heart wouldn't wake the small Pokémon. He then lay his own head against the blonde and after a couple of minutes, he eventually fell asleep himself.
