Third Person POV

TW // Violence, Mentions of drugs

Adora and Catra both stood at the front of the place they never thought they would see again. The ally way that brought Shadow Weaver and them together. Except now, they would be doing something that was stupid. No, it was absolutely ludicrous of them to be doing what they are about to do.

"I still think we're extremely stupid for this" Catra mumbled, tugging the hoodie and dragging the strings out which bunched up the hood of her hoodie. Anxiety was spiking through her as they both approached closer to the stairs of the ally.

Adora sighed, "I do too, but we both agreed that this was for the best. Something tells me that..there is something wrong going down wherever she's being held captive. That text still gives me chills"

Adora remembered when she had received the text before Catra had gotten home from work. The realization dawned upon her when she had kept reading over the text. It's not like the idea of saving Shadow Weaver was a split decision, Adora didn't want to even think about helping the person that ruined her life. But..it felt wrong too. It felt wrong to sit back and not help.

"You and your fighting spirit" Catra sighed as they stopped side by side. "By the way, where is your brother?"

"He said he would be here, but..it seems he is late"

Catra chewed on her lip nervously as she pulled out her phone to fish for the map that DT had sent to her. It was a full blueprint layout of the abandoned fight club arena and some possible secret tunnels. Catra had asked which suspicion how exactly DT was able to get something like this. But they answered with their typical sketchy answer, "A magician never reveals their secrets".

Waiting for Adam made Catra more and more nervous as they stood close to the empty parking lot. She stared at the bench that Adora and her sat on the day that Shadow Weaver was taken away. Looking up to take a shaky breath, she thought for a moment. Was she going to die? Was today going to be her last day? What are we going to find down there?

But of course, Adora was there too. A warm hand brushed her shoulder, "I really appreciate you doing this for me"

"You do know this only for you, not for her. If we save her, I want her out of our lives"

Adora leaned in and pressed a kiss to Catra's temple, "Of course, that's what we promised right?"

Catra still seemed hesitant but her tensed shoulders began to relax.

"Right"

The minutes that went by felt by hours as Adora and Catra both decided it was best to sit down for now. Sitting down and keeping themselves paranoid wouldn't make things any better. Adora had went back to the same vending machine from that day and pulled out two cans as they waited for Adam to arrive. It seemed that...he was late. A bit late to cause some rise of concern but they both pushed the idea down their throats.

"I have a question?"

Catra gulped, "That makes me nervous"

"Why did you..use a cigarette when we broke up?"

A choke came from Catra as she smashed her can down onto the pavement in embarrassment. She coughed a few times into a fist then dropped it to frown at Adora, "How did..you know that?"

"Well, technically DT told me-" Of course they had "-But, when you came over to my house. And gosh, you smelled of cigarette"

"Sorry, did you want me to take a shower while being lost in every corner of my mind?" Catra chuckled lowly.
