KING's ELDER MATE

Chapter 5

I'm only wearing my lacy blue dress. I left my coat and mask to the Elders place so that no one will knew that I am, so I really look like a normal girl in a werewolf community.

I only teleported to the Palace and was inside of the dining room.

I most say the palace is suit for elegance and wealth. Chandeliers are sparkling above me. Really suits my golden eyes.

I walk around until I found where the girls are. They are all sitting so I sit beside of the brunette girl.

She give me a glance and smile at me.

"Aren't you excited?" She asked me. Why would I be? Her question confuse me. Is this girl insane for asking me if I'm excited to be caught by the King and be persecuted? Really? If it wasn't rude to not respond then I wouldn't but I'm not that kind.

"why would I be? if you we're the lady he was looking for, you will be  persecuted or maybe tortured?" I said as I'm actually piss off of her.

She gasp in shock and look at me as if I'm insane but actually, I was the one who actually think that she is. She move back a little.

"Are you insane? We're not here to be persecuted. We are here because-." Her statement was cut off when someone enter the door.

It was the Beta Jaw I saw at the mating ground and the King also walk in and stand beside the Beta.

The way he walk in, it feels like a slow-motion of my upcoming death. My heart is exhilarating as he look everyone of us. But most of it, this ladies with me are gawking at him. I know his handsome and all but still I'm gonna die.

We all stand up and gave respect to the King.

As the King sight move at me, he stop and said something to his Beta. The Beta look at me and nod  his head as his response to the King just said or whisper cause I can't hear them because I don't have my wolf.

But the girls stared at me. I know they heard the Beta and the King conversation. While me, I'm clueless and this made me more terrified on what would happen to me.

Some of the girls gave me a judging look as if they looking down at me. I don't understand them at all why would they look at me like that as if I'm stealing something at them. If they want to be chosen then I gladly give them the opportunity to be persecuted.

This hilarious thought I have lessen my anxiety.

As if on cue the girls just started to walk out of the door. I was about to follow them but someone hold my wrist to stop me and when I turn to look who is it. It was the King and he was staring intently at me.

"You stay here." He said in his authoritative tone and pull me to sit down.

He sit at the chair infront of me.  He close his eyes and fold his palm together as he was thinking on something while me just staring at him, waiting for what will happened.

"Do you even know why you're here?" He ask in his baritone voice and look at me straightly in the eye.

I gulp before I said "I'm here because I watched the mating game without acknowledging anyone presence especially you. So you asked every alpha's and others to find me because your going to torture and kill me as a consequence of what I've done." I was out of breath as I finish my sentence.

He's forehead was wrinkled as he absorb my statement then he look at me as if my statement confused him.

"Where did you get that kind of idea?" He asked and stared at me intently while waiting for my response.

"Well, It was what I assumed because what would be the other reason why'd you look for me?" I said as if I'm defending myself and this confuse me more. Why would he look for me if it's not about it?

"Doesn't you feel the pull? Or smell something? He asked as he put his hand on my shoulder and caress it.

It was awkward to me because his touching me and those question is like about having a mate. A MATE! My eyes widely open as I realized.

Then I stared at him dumbfounded and I suddenly stand up fast to move away from him and I held my both hands up as I stopping him to get near from me cause he stand up immediately as I get up earlier.

"WAIT! So you're saying that I'm your mate?!" I said in a hesitant voice and look at him as confusement and absolutely not believing written in my face.

"Yes. Can't you feel the pull?" He ask again and feels like his slowly getting annoyed or irritated.

I shake my head as a no. This mades him mad. His iris became dark.

He fastly went at me and grip both of my shoulder.

"I'm not mistaken what I had confirmed. You are mine! Understand!" He said in angry tone and his voice much more deeper.

I know that it was his wolf.

I push him away as his grip is hurting me. I rub my aching shoulder to ease the pain.

His eyes change back to blue as he seen me getting hurt and he looks at me gently.

I'm also getting piss because of his actions so I look at him with irritation clear in my face.

"I don't feel anything about you or the pull you're saying because I don't have a wolf. Ok." I said madly because I'm not really convince that his my mate because first of all is what I just said. Secondly, Elders can't have mate anymore as their wolf had been cutted. So how is it possible?

I held my head as the more I think, it's aching.

As he saw me acting that way, he went near at me and held me in his arms as if comforting me. He even caress my hair and kiss my forehead.

This happened because obviously his way taller than me. As I'm relax in his hold. I slowly move back a little away from him.

"Even you can't feel the pull, our mating ceremony will continue and this will be publicise." He said in monotone voice.

Is this guy bipolar? Just earlier his so gentle. Now, his back to being drastic.

I want to defend myself but I'm too tired. Also, I know that whatever I'll say, he won't agree anyway.

So, I nod as a response.

He held my waist and guide me to our room as he said. While I'm still in my thoughts to look for a way to get away from his grasp before the mating ceremony begin.

I don't want to get mated to a person that I'm not sure if his really my mate.
