KING's ELDER MATE

Chapter 3

I sense something earlier, it feels like someone is staring at me from behind. 

Today is the mating game and hope that I will find my mate there but if it is contrary on what I expected then I don't have a choice but to pull out my last remarks.

My wolf have been so ballistic for how so long I know. Good thing, I can still control myself but the pain is intolerable. 

I also want to find my mate. Holding her in my arms makes me wanted to found her already. I feel so empty without her and it makes me so mad on everything. 

Good thing, Elders was there  to assist any conflict have been the packs facing this days. 

A knock from the door took me out from  my thoughts. 

"Come in" I said, still my sight stay on staring the scenery. 

I heard the door open and close and someone stand beside me. 

"Alpha King, the mating game is ready, the Elders are already there and everyone was just waiting for your arrival." My beta said beside me. 

"let's go then" I said and went out from my room with my beta trailing behind. 

"Does everyone think that I'll be participating in the game?" I asked as we walk downstairs through the front door. 

"Yes Alpha but we fixed it already." He said 

"Then let's move along" I said and shift on my wolf to run where the game will be held. 

We pass some trees in fast speed until we seen the field of the mating game. 

We shifted behind the trees and change to our clothes we brought. As I walk through them, they immediately noticed my presence and bow down a liitle for respect. 

"Goodmorning Alpha King" Everyone greet simultaneously. 

I nod on response. 

"Everyone get ready and the game will begin in any minute." I said and sit on my awaiting chair where I could seen everyone. 

The Elders sit at the chairs below me. 

The participants are already fall in line. 

Women will run in the forest and hide while men will give them a head start then will chase and chose their mate. 

The sound alarm and the women run through the forest. 

During the game, I didn't smell any single scent of my mate. I stand up and decided to walk to the forest. 

I walk pass all the wolf who's still finding their chosen mate. Some will stop and give respect to my presence. 

As I scan the surrounding, I'd sense someone was lingering and staring at me so I act like I didn't know her/his location and move near where he/she hiding. 

As I'm only inches from that person, I think she/he thought that I still haven't spotted where he/she was hiding. 

I immediately move fast and pulled that person arms and cage her-definitely a she- with my body and the tree.

I was stunned at first as I can't help but stared at her golden eyes and pretty face but I held my posture. 

"Why are you here?" I asked and take a whip of her scent that made me fluttered my eyes close as it was so intoxicating and smelled like-

"MATE!" my wolf yell

I was stunned and immediately open my eyes but I saw nothing of her presence but I'm sure, I'm holding her wrist so tight so how did she escape? 

I punch the tree in anger that cause for it to fall on the ground. 

I already had a chance to be with her. Why did she run? Oh. Game on. I'll definitely will find you mate. 

I walk back to the field and saw that everyone was already here and the game has ended. 

"I want all Alphas to be in the meeting room after 10 minutes, a decline will be removed from his rank." I said to my beta through mindlink

"Yes Alpha King" he replied back through mindlink. 

I run back through my kingdom and ready for the meeting. 

After 10 minutes, I walked inside the meeting room and every Alpha acknowledged my presence. 

I stand up with authority infront of them and look them seriously. 

"I want you all to bring any girls with golden eyes in the kingdom. No question needed to ask. This is an order to all of you. Anyone who failed to do this will be tortured and killed. Meeting adjourned." I said and walk out of the room. 

If the only way to find you mate is through harsh way then I will do it and by the end of it you with me in my arms. 

As I stand in the balcony, I'd seen all Alphas had run back to their pack to start on what I'd order.

That's good if they want to stick with their life.

Someone's get inside my room, I immediately recognise that it was my beta Jaw.

"What's with the immediate meeting?" He asked

"I'd found my mate." I said and remember her face when I first saw her.

"R-really? Did you know where she is?" He asked with gladness in his voice.

"No" I said and face him

"When I open my eyes, she's gone." I said in confusion.

"Still, the good thing. You knew what she looks like" he said to lighten my burden.

I nod in agreement. He pat my back and leave my room.

Any person who I am slightly close is my beta. Since we were kid, we've been together but things happened that made us have a gap to each other. But still we have a casual talk sometimes, just like what happened this early minute.

But there's no excuse of him to not acknowledge me as his Alpha King.
