Things have gone from peaceful to full on bat shit crazy!
People are dying left and right, weird monsters are killing people at the resort, and I nearly got killed by my professor!
I should've stayed home!
After barely escaping Professor Harrison, Logan and I barreled into the forest, trying to get as far away as possible from the resort. To be honest, I'm not sure how I'm still moving at this point after getting thrown around like a ragdoll and nearly choked to death. Maybe it's the adrenaline still kicking in my system or my will to live. I don't know, but right now, I need to stay focused on getting away from this place.
Logan was jogging ahead of me and I was trailing behind him only a few feet away. The moonlight was helping me keep an eye on Logan and our surroundings.
However, Logan wasn't doing so hot. He kept on holding onto his forearm, where he got bit by Professor Harrison.
After a couple more steps, Logan started to slow down and then stopped altogether. He leaned against a tree and groaned heavily.
"Urrggghh! Shit. This hurts so much!"
I went to Logan's side and put a hand on his shoulder.
"Here, let me take a look."
Logan was breathing heavily. I could see his sweat dripping down his face in the moonlight. He slightly nodded and leaned off the tree.
"Okay, but... be careful. This hurts like hell, man." I nodded my head. Reaching to his wrist, I slowly lifted his sleeve up to see his wound.
I couldn't see much, but I got a glimpse of how bad it is. There was huge bit marks in his arm. Looking on, there had to be a least a dozen puncture wounds in his arm. Blood was still coming out of his arm, but not that much.
Logan didn't look at his arm. He looked away as I kept on observing.
"It's looks bad, but I think the pain your feeling is a lot worse."
"Yeah, no shit, Joey. Urggh, god!" Logan groaned out.
There wasn't much I could do, I'm not a medic and I don't know shit about medicine. However, I know one thing I can do; stop the bleeding.
"Hold on, Logan." I grabbed the bottom of his torn sleeve and pulled it apart, tearing the fabric in half. I kept on ripping it, until I managed to pull his entire sleeve off.
"Damnit, Joey... that was my favorite shirt, man." Logan chuckled out under his breath. I nodded my head and smirked a bit.
"I'll buy you another one when this is over."
Once I pulled the sleeve off, I tore it into two pieces of cloth. Using the first piece, I wrapped it around Logan's wound, covering it completely. I created a knot using the cloth and tied it as tightly as I could.
As for the second piece, I used it to wrap up my right hand. I managed to create a makeshift glove over my hand. It hurt like hell to put it on, but at least it stopped some of the bleeding.
"Okay, that should do it. At least for now we stopped the bleeding. Hopefully, we can find some medical supplies and stitch your arm up."
Logan let out a sigh and rubbed his arm.
"Yeah, hopefully." Logan said gravelly.
The sounds of the screams still echoed through the forest. Logan took a few steps toward the noises and looked into the darkness.
"What the hell is going on, Joey? Why are these... things coming after us? Why did they kill all those people?!"
"I... I don't know, man. I'm in the same boat as you." Logan ran a hand through his hair and he started to pace back and fourth, right in front of me.
