Trouble in Paradise (BrightWin Fanfic)

WIN'S POV

I stared at my phone blankly for a hours. It was already 4 in the morning when I came to my senses and stopped reading Namtan's last message. They were waiting for him to wake up in a span of time before they really confirm that he was in comatose. 

I pressed on my phone and canceled everything I had for today. I sighed and tried to sleep for a few hours. I woke up when mom and Chimon left. I told them my classes got canceled for today but that was a lie. 

I was processing all of it. I was losing my mind as I process it and felt tears streaming down my face. 

When Bright went away I was falling apart as well, my father was also making it a hard time for all of us. My mom left me with no choice as well, she was saving Chimon so she really gave me to my father to work under him. I have access to all the shit he has, how many women he still has, he's still the biggest cheater after all. 

*flashback*

"Win, I'm so sorry. I just couldn't risk Chimon... he is too young to deal with all of it..." Mom said with tears in her eyes. 

"What is going on?" I asked my mom. 

"Your dad... he's been bugging me, he said he needs you or Chimon to run as an heir to his company, or else he will cut every connection we have to him and he'd stop giving money for your's and Chimon's education." Mom said. 

"We will find a way, it will be alright..." I told my mom. 

"We need to agree with your dad, he will find a way to manipulate us. This wouldn't be good for your brother." She said as tears started falling from her eyes. 

I could never say no to my mom. I know they would go through so much shit with my father if I let them suffer.

I decided to take as many shifts and overtime as I could so we could lessen the times we will be asking for help from my father. I worked most of the days even the weekends. I was also trying to save myself from the depths of failing my classes. 

I was doing very well until it all becomes too much... I was exhausted and burnt out. I never told Bright what was going on because I didn't want him giving me money or doing favors again. I can do this. I can manage. But I was tired...

Bright began bugging me about telling my side of the family. I haven't really come out to mom and Chimon, I wasn't very sure how they would receive it, Chimon might, he understands. But mom? I was scared to death. He always had that dream that I would marry a girl and build the very ideal family we never had. 

I spent all my free time pushing Bright away. My conscience was getting to me but I need to push through. 

"Win, we can't give you another overtime this week. It's too much. There are also other staff to pay." My manager told me. 

"I'd take whatever I can. Just put me on the on-call list whenever..." I told my manager. 

"I'm sorry, I know you need the money but the other staff does too. Just finish your shift today and go take some rest or focus on your academics." She said.
