Trouble in Paradise (BrightWin Fanfic)

BRIGHT'S POV

I got the speed boat ready, I asked permission from grandma but she insisted the driver will be the one in charge of driving. They all sort of put me on suicide watch ever since we learned about what happened to Ton, they don't know what I am capable of. 

"Take care and have fun with your new friend Bright." Grandma said which got me confused. 

"What new friend?" I asked. 

"I saw you with that kid at the shore, I see you found someone you can at least spend time with, at least you're not alone." She said and smiled. 

"Well... yeah" I said and scratched my head. 

I grabbed a protein bar and drank some coffee for my first meal for today. When the boat was ready, I hoped in and went back to the spot where I left Win. He was already there, waiting like a child while he took photos of the scenery. 

"WIIIN!!!" I yelled as the speed boat was kind of distant from the shore.

"Hey!" He said and waved. 

I pointed him to go to the small dock nearby, the driver drove over there so we could pick him up. He handed me a basket he must've borrowed from the staff containing food that I told him to pick up.

"Where are we going?" He asked

"Win, you sound like Dora." I said and laughed. 

"Okay then, boots, where are we going?" He said and laughed as well. 

The driver took care of where we were going, I grew up coming home here every summer so I kind of already got a hang of this place. 

"I have a portable speaker, let's play some music" Win said and took out a mini speaker from his bag. 

Just say the word, we'll take on the world
Just say you're hurt, we'll face the worst

I smiled. His choice of songs are actually music to my soul, it's like he knows how to reach to me through it. I closed my eyes and inhaled, I'll need to escape for a little, so I'd know how to keep going. I smiled when I opened my eyes and saw Win enjoying the view. 

We arrived at the common tourist destination spots, he pretty much took a bunch of photos but the crowd was getting plenty so I decided to take him to the little private island that we have. 

"Win, come on, it's almost lunch time as well. Let's go somewhere better." I said grabbing the few stuff we brought with us. 

"What do you mean somewhere better? Isn't this the best yet?" He asked while looking at all the photos he took. 

"Nope. There's somewhere a lot better than here." I said while I walked towards the speed boat. 

Win bugged me about everything on El Nido being the best already,  well, given the fact that it is a tourist spot and all the islands I've brought him to is a tourist spot. 

"I'm sticking with----- wait, is this it?" He asked when the engine of the speed boat died down just exactly on the small island that was well taken care of and neat. 

"Yep. Welcome to my humble abode.... Just kidding, it's just a part of the escape we have here." I said. 

"Is it legal to be here? I mean, somebody must've own the island, it is well taken care of" Win said as we got off the boat.
