I'm going to walk you through two different ways to make your own gifs-whether you're using your phone or a website. I'll be using:
GIPHY (app) - great for quick cropping and trimming EZGIF.com (website) - simple and has extra tools if you want more control
🔮 OPTION 1: Making a GIF with GIPHY (App

Open GIPHY, tap Create. Choose your video. Trim it down if you want (GIPHY lets you use up to 6.5 seconds). Tap the video screen to exit the trim menu. Tap Crop: Choose your size (I usually go for 16:9 or 3:2, but used 1:1 for this example). Tap Continue, then hit the purple arrow (bottom right). Tap Share GIF → then Save GIF (don't upload-this way's easier). And you're done! 🥳

🖥️ OPTION 2: Making a GIF with EZGIF.com (Website) This one's super handy if you're on desktop or want to do more editing.

Go to ezgif.com → click Video to GIF. Click Choose File, upload your video. Once uploaded, scroll through the settings: You can resize, crop, add text, or optimize (I just optimized to reduce file size). Click Convert to GIF, then Save and Download. That's it-super simple!
🚨If a notification pops up that it is too big, just run it through Giphy and save it and it'll fix that problem! If it doesn't, you will have to trim the video/gif to under 3 seconds to fit the guidelines on Wattpad.

💡 EXTRA TIPS: GIPHY is faster and great for cropping if you're on your phone. EZGIF is more customizable and better if you're working with edits or longer clips. For both, try to keep your gif under 6-7 seconds for better quality!
